If you want to see weird foreign superheroes, check out Krrish – the Indian superhero. It’s a Bollywood concoction filled with out-of-place musical numbers, great wirework effects, an oddball plot, egregious product placement, and Really Good Production Values. And it’s ungodly long, but worth it:

You may want to apologize to your dog. IMDb.com says Italian Spiderman doesn’t exist, Franco Franchetti doesn’t exist, even Mondo Sexo doesn’t exist.
This is an obvious spoof but it intrigues me because it appears to have been shot during the 70s, before such things were common. I can tell anachronism from way off and this doesn’t look like it.

I suspect if it is a fake, it’s an old fake. If it isn’t old, they did a helluva job: it was surely shot on a cheesy Super-8 outfit, not just reprocessed on digital video, and with more attention paid to period clothes, hairstyles, and titles than any big-budget Hollywood project could manage.
