Seriously, Hollywood is completely out of it’s collective mind. Nothing but remakes and miscasting.

Somehow, I’m not comforted by this. 
Well, Snoop IS getting screentime as Huggy Bear in the Stiller/Wilson Starsky & Hutch remake.
I read about this, just seems like another attempt to make a film vaguely related to the original and try to lure in viewers by trading on the name recognition (see The Italian Job, Rollerball, Planet of the Apes, etc.). Besides TLY had humor, language, and attitude that just wouldn’t fly today. Since it’s to be a Sandler film I guess we’ll get gross-out gags, a classic rock soundtrack and pointless c-grade cameos instead. I liked Mean Machine as a pleasent time-waster, but it seemed so tame compared to the original.
The article I read said that Chris Rock was supposed to play Caretaker and Snoop is going to be a player for the prisoners. I like Rock’s humor, but the man can’t act. Unless he plays a kicker, Snoop is too small to play even on the kind of pickup team Crewe puts together.
But let’s cast this stupid puppy anyway:

Caretaker: Chris Rock, but why not William H. Macy or Oliver Platt instead
Unger: Snoop would be better suited for this, but Sandler will probably give it to Rob Schneider.
