My little girl is getting old enough to like children’s shows, mainly for the children running around and she like to “dance” to the music. I have somehow gotten over my snobbishness for Barney and finally figured out that Teletubbies actually makes sense…to toddlers. However, my first time ever seeing It’s a Big Big World I watched for the first 15 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with the show. I still can’t put my finger on it accept that it just seems creepy. They have a giant sloth with the slick surfer dude voice like the half teen/man from Step by Step. There is this old monkey that does nothing but zen yoga moves. The rest are kind of ok I guess, but to me they are guilty by association. I can’t stop myself from slooowly changing the channel once I’m past the morbid fascination of the show.
Anyone else ever see the show and find it weird somehow?
