I will give birth to a bouncing baby boy on (or around) May 20, 2003.
YAY!
(Name ideas are totally welcome. I was counting on a girl. )

Besides the obligatory “Cecil,” I can’t think of anything in particular.
Just wanted to say best wishes for a happy, healthy young 'un.
Massengill.

Oh, and congrats!

Young Fist of Freedom

My darling, Scott Randall sounds pretty good to me. You know why.
[sub]and then you could call him Scotty, too…I mean, not that you SHOULD do that or anything, but…just saying that I wouldn’t exactly MIND, either… ) [/sub]
A boy. Honey, I am so happy for you!
My Love,
Cheri
Thanks for the names, guys.
And Cheri, I’ll have to run that by the daddy, but I do like it.
Congrats! Boys are the best! (I have two )
When my former husband and his wife were expecting, we would brainstorm names. A couple we came up with were:
Doctor (this is my son, Doctor Smith. Um, isn’t he only two years old?)
Uncle (this is my brother, Uncle Smith).
Well aaaaaaanyway . . . cracked US up!
Andrew Martin.
Dunno why … well, the baby before me woulda been Andrew had s/he been born and a boy. No idea about Martin, though.
W00!
Congratulations, Silver Fire!
I like to suggest names based on heritage. May I ask what your heritage is, Silver Fire? And the father’s?
Siddhartha Gautama
Congratulations on finding out. My wife and I are having a boy due in February. Walter Desmond is his name. Suitably German-Irish, I think.
We’re mostly German, between the two of us. Some French, Swedish, Norwegian… I’m a bit Native American, but not enough to count for anything. And I love the name Dexter, which is why I so obviously need help with this.
I suggest something that will make him a boy to be reckoned with: Long Dong.
Long Dong Oswald? I don’t think so.
And please, no suggestions for Lee Harvey. My mom already promised she’d disown me if I did that.
Oh, too bad he isn’t a **she ** then you could have named her…(wait for it , you curs) **Ruby Ann **
( I thought it was amusing.)
Anywhooo. What fun news!
How daring you are to let dopers randomly spew out names.
Germanic names:
Hans
Gerhart
Seigfried
Adolf
Uwe ( pronounced Uva)
Scandanavian Names:
Orgy Borgy
Bjork Bjork Bjork! (exclamation marks are necessary)
(Sorry, I always think of the Muppets swedish chef)
Native American:
Running Weasel.
Spaztic Hamster
Fluffly bunny
Stinky Beaver
Clyde Pidgeon ( a real indian name of a guy I use to know.)
Bob
Sorry, I’m being silly.
How about: Lawrence Charles. Then you could call him Larry Chuck.
STINKY BEAVER OSWALD!!!
Wow, I think we have a winner.
Nothing wrong with the name Lee. Congratulations!
I love Dexter! Seriously, I do!
I love the whole Celtic thing- Scots/Irish names are great (but are getting so popular you might think twice).
Aidan
Ewan
Angus
Seamus
Kieran
Mine are Zachary Charles and Andrew James (named after men in our family). We named the dog Angus, only because it was a little much for a kid!
If I end up with yet another boy, I don’t know what the hell I’ll do. I teased my mom with some great names-
Cletus
Leon
Bubba
Jeb
I also like Noah, but thought it might be too close to “No!”
My favorite name for a boy- Kelly. I knew a real hottie in HS and his name was Kelly! Guess that explains why none of my kids are named Kelly… husband did get a vote.
