It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it MMP

Well Swampy
I figure if I play it right it’ll get to where y’all won’t let me start any more MMPs. MMPers will be jumping to get that post in one minute after midnight because OMG! Sari might beat us to it.

I’ve always wanted to be called “Ace”.*

*There’s not a chance in hell of that happening, is there?

If he’s Ace, I want to be Sarah Jane!

Or maybe Turlow.

I see you more as a Kamelion, or maybe a Melanie.

I’m actually more like Doctor #6

I’m very Donna-ish with a teeny bit of Rory

Did someone call my name?

The dirtiest job I ever had was as a pest control tech, besides the bugs, trenching for termite treatments, crawling in crawlspaces (crawl one, two, smash spider one, two, crawl), there was the joy of finding out why a place was infested with cockroaches.

Names

Czarcasm = Le Roi

NoClueBoy = Wink

I shall leave it to the senior MMP staff for final decisions

Happy Moanday all

BTW Swampy is teh Gay and no it never gets old

Cheers all

Jim

The job itself isn’t so dirty…& there were others to clean up the set.

Well, no one said you had to get up so early, in fact if you’d waited just 3-4 more minutes we wouldn’t be on this topic at all, but noooooo, the lovely prose that I slaved over goes unused because you were too impatient.
I nominate the DSNY guys who get a “special” place in the parade lineup & can have, literally, thousands of people see why they have a 55 gal trashcan on wheels & a shovel. Nothing like performing for a crowd.

What does it mean, word that I do not have font for?
Is it Yiddish?

I haven’t really had any dirty jobs. However, **swampy **reminded me of a dirty job that my dad and one of my employees did for me. Back when I was perpetually sick and we were opening my commercial kitchen, they had to clean out a grease trap in what had been a pizza shop. It hadn’t been cleaned out for at least 6 months prior to that.

In other news, I am very blah today. Since I haven’t mentioned it lately, mono freaking sucks. All that’s left now is the tiredness but it’s totally ridiculous and totally pissing me off. I started my new placement today and I was so tired that I just wanted to sit in the corner and cry.

Aw, c’mon - I like **Ace **- easy to type and confusing as all get-out because it doesn’t match his name. Even if it is self-nominated.

As for NCB, I’m thinking ClueBee, just because it came to me.

Can’t think of anything clever for Eonwe, tho. Except his name reminds me of Eeyore.

Anyway, I’m home. Tedious day spent mostly dealing with a spreadsheet that’s being used as a database of sorts. I now know that I never want to be a configuration manager. I do have some drawings to do, so there’s that. And I’m home, so that’s even better.

I was going to do some more planting today, but I just couldn’t get motivated. So I made some tortellini for supper - made as in boiled a bag of frozen tortellini and dumped homemade and thawed sauce over it all. There’s enough left over for my lunch tomorrow, so yay!

**FCD **got a required signature and I finished the paperwork that should get us $700 from the state. We found out our stove isn’t eligible for the grant, but we can get a $300 credit on our taxes, so there’s that - a fairly easy $1000, and all we had to do was spend $6600 on a couple of fireplace inserts.

**BBBobbio **- were any of your S-3 coworkers in VS-41 in '74-'76? Not that I’d know any pilots - I was a lowly avionics tech, and besides, you almost never saw pilots on mids. They needed their beauty sleep.

I’m more of a Rory.

Nø, it’s Nørwegian. And møøse bites can be nasti.

Sorry about the mono, Sticky

Mooommmm!!!, Eeyore worlks for me.

NCB, welcome back!

And welcome to the [del]funny farm[/del]MMP, Ace!

A møøse ønce bit my sister.

As for dirty jobs, I did clean a friend’s room once. You don’t want to know what I found in there. It wasn’t really a “job,” but it was dirty. :stuck_out_tongue:

If we get to self-nominate, I want to be “Web Stud”.

Why in the hell do people do that? You can’t sort or index it.

You can sort - that’s what I was doing - sorting by 2 different sets of part numbers to ferret out duplicates. It’s not ideal, but I was able to find out what I needed, so there’s that.

I hate that it’s getting dark so early, and it’ll be even worse when we change the clocks next month. ugh.

Was that you in Sex Trek; The Next Penetration?

Just kiddin’. The title is real, but I didn’t watch it!

You can sort an Excel spreadsheet?

Yes you can. In fact, you can sort on multiple columns, for example, first by date, then alphabetically, then by color… or whatever. In Office 2010 on the Home tab, the Sort and Filter option are on the far right of the ribbon.

You were close, the song’s called “Online” not “Web”
