I am watering the grass seed, hoping for a lawn. We shall see.
Took the blind puppy for a walk. Second time on a leash. She is fearless. It works out well. She has about the same endurance as my busted ankle. Today we make it back to the front yard and she just stopped and refused to move. Fortunately, she is small. I just picked her up for the last few steps.
After dinner, I will be looking up pound cake recipes! I haz a craving!
No joke here. Get tested for Reynaud’s syndrome. For years, I could never find gloves that kept my hands warm; when I was diagnosed, I found out why. It’s treatable, so ask your doctor.
At one point - somewhere between 3 and 4AM - I had both cats on me looking for skritches. They weren’t sleeping, so why should I?? Stoopit cats. Then Higgs started fussing around 5. She’s been fed and she’s currently licking her feet because that’s what a pug does when she’s awake and it’s dark out… I will go back to bed shortly.
Dunno what the day holds. Don’t care. I’s tahred. Stoopit animals!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 77 and sunny for the day. As good a day as any for yahd irk I reckon. We’re goin’ up around nineish this mornin’ and should be through by noonish. The biggest part will be throwin’ limbs on the back of twuck and takin’ 'em to the back of the property where such things get tossed. Lots of trees on JDD’s 'rents property.
I’m lookin’ forward to goin’ to the catfish place in Plains. It’s been a long time since we’ve been there and it’s so gooooooooooood! Plus this afternoon after we purtify we shall go to large and in charge Dawson, Jawja to visit JDD’s ‘rents at the nursin’ home. We have cashews for JDD’s dad and Crunch 'n Munch for his mom. I know Crunch 'n Munch is ick, but she loves the stuff.
A Sattidy of excitatement is it not!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is demandin’ sustenance. Then some purtification to be presentable must commence.
Yestidy we drove thru the Water Gap; some big puffy clouds created shadows on almost peak colors. Planning on stopping on the way home to try for pix. Getting up in a few to try to capture sunrise over the waterfall(s) next to this place.
on my phone, so not quoting - Flytwerp, fingerless gloves keep most of your hand warm while giving you dexterity to do things. You do realize it gets cold in the Winning Territorys.
Swampy, I’m not a big fan of C&M either, but it’s cousin, Screaming Yellow Zonkers is/was da bomb. (Do the still make it?)
37°, on the was up to 44° & windy so don’t yet know what we’re doing today.
I went back to bed for a coupla hours - even Higgs settled down. In fact, at one point, I was listening to the dog and my sweetie both snoring! When I finally got up, we decided to breakfast out, which we’ve done - big surprise there!
There’s a load of jeans in the dryer, a load of miscellaneous colored stuff in the washer, and a load of mostly white unders on deck. (“Mostly white” refers to the colors of the items, not to stains. Some of my unders are pastels, but they still get washed with the whites.) **FCD **is doing some modeling work on the computer and I’m going to try to get all the towels hemmed so I can stencil some. We’ve stoked up the pellet stove - it’s chilly in here! Dropped down to 41° outside overnight. We’re expecting middle 30s for the next 3 nights!!
swampy, some folks pay to go to the gym for exercise but all it costs you is a bag of cashews and a.box of Crunch-N-Munch.
I got the grocery shopping done last night, so all that’s left for today is laundry and cleaning. I also ordered a replacement microwave from Amazon last night so I should have a new one by Wednesday. That way the FedEx guy can schlep it up the steps. I can wait until my nephew or my friend Adam visits to dispose of the old one.
I took Monday morning off for a doctor’s checkup. Since it’s the time of year for insurance biometric screening, I’ll take the paperirk along so I don’t have to stand in line at irk for the same thing.
Coffee’s almost gone, so it’s time to get to work cleaning.
