It's a matter of taste in the MMP

Well, while I was weeding, he loaded Otis into the car and took him to the marina, so that’s a start.

Speaking of weeding, too bad there’s not a market for crab grass and spurge - I’d be a billionaire!!! Instead, I just have an achy back and a lot more weeding to do, another day.

I find myself doing that during mid-week grocery shopping. And of course, we do that on cruises. FCD looks like he fits in with them, but I can still pass for 40… 50? 60? 70?:rofl::rofl: Thanks to Dad’s hair gene, I’m still not showing gray, but the backs of my hands are decidedly old-lady-like.

I’ve hit 2. One did a job on my poor little Scion (to the tune of $3K+ back in 2007 or 8) but the other was barely a nudge, as I was just starting from a dead stop when the stoopit thing ran in front of my car. Lots of cracked plastic on my Aerostar, and I bet that deer had a heckuva bruise.

We’ve never bagged, but the soil here is so crappy, I don’t know that the clippings help much. Still, every little bit…

I toured the Coors plant about 25 years ago and I did try some. Not a smart idea on an empty stomach. I didn’t get sick, but woozies ensued. And I still didn’t get the appeal. (And yes, I know Coors is held in disdain among beer drinkers.)

Yay for back relief, nellie!!

I’m showered and dressed in non-sweaty attire, about to make lunch. Even after 2 days, I don’t think I’m even halfway done with the weeding. I wish I’d taken a “Before” photo - it would show impressive progress. I’ll have to rely on my memories.

OK, to the kitchen!!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and fixing to do KP. Today is grocery shopping day, so I shall shevel and go to Joe V.'s.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Afternoon.

It’s cooler here today, with a nice breeze, perfect weather to sit outside with a cold drink, unlike the oven down South.

One deer has hit me while I was driving, if that counts? A little roe deer stag ran into the side of the car, on a quiet back lane. It left a tiny dent and wandered off after a few minutes, dunno if he was OK. We didn’t exchange insurance details.

Other than that, I’ve only ever hit three birds; all three on the same day. Two of them just 5 minutes apart. Yes I did wonder if I’d angered some minor deity.

Came home early, to attempt to WFH, partly because I have a really stiff neck and my desk at home is in a better position, but I’m stuck on something and made no progress. Yesterday’s plans to drop stuff round got delayed until today, but the car is all loaded and ready.

Management sent us a letter yesterday asking (telling) us to remove our “Ice Out!” sign that the wife painted on one of our windows some months ago. The wife was all set to do battle over it, but I talked her down off the window ledge. You have to pick your battles, and this one isn’t one we can win. I mollified her by suggesting Jersey Mike’s for dinner.

Exercises were exhausting today, as our leader decided to do “super sets” instead of the usual mix. I’m going to feel that tomorrow.

A sunny day after yesterday’s thunderous pass-through.

I started on on the Slides, but then they had me load Top Green on the 100. It was a reasonably light load(600 pieces), which was good because I started 45min after the other loaders. Of course, they sent me back to the 300 Slide to clerk at 0730, which irked J. Mainly because when she has to log back into the one workstation, she has problems accessing the Exception fixing program. I think it’s because she signs in with her password, and that workstation is possessed by SatanZscaler, and demands people use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Not a lot of cleanup so I was out by 0945. Which is nice, because after the last two days I feel like I’ve been beaten like the redheaded stepchild’s side chick’s rented mule at a family reunion.

I just use a regular duster. But I am tall, and the fan hangs low.

Sounds like me on Senior Day at Teeter.

I wonder if a fire extinguisher would put out a Balrog?

You’ll get no argument from me. Happy counseling!

It’s like sex in a canoe.

I sort in my bedroom and Spot likes to helpinterfere.

Treating this as a serious question: I don’t think so. Balrogs aren’t on fire. They are Fire and Darkness.

RPG it is, then!

Noontime here and the grass has been mowed (5 1/2 bags worth) and thanks to it being cloudy only moderate sweatage occurred. Have just finished lunch and am munching on a apple for dessert, then will prepare myself for more walking at the gym. Otherwise nothing much planned for the afternoon.

Cookie, yeah, like you said, pick you battles, and management holds most of the cards there.

FCM, Doggio, I’m well aware of the reputation Coors Light has, but given that I only drink it when the social occasion requires it and I’m not a particularly sociable human being, it amounts to about 8-10 beers a year.

OK, onward into the afternoon.

The niece brought us a beautiful flat of freshly picked strawberries. Wonderfully sweet. I see pancakes in our future with macerated berries on top.

Looking out my window this morning. Are you inspired? Not a job I would ever want.

I was tickled to find a sale on cherries at the grocery today. I ate a handful at lunch and they were YUM!

As far as laundry goes, I don’t sort by color anymore, except for new garments and wash clothes in cold. Towels, sheets and dog laundry goes in hot with detergent and bleach.

To answer the OP, I’ve mostly been a take it or leave it person on matchy-matchy stuff. I would rather be coordinated with regards to apparel and decor or downright eclectic than have cookie cutter stuff.

I got my callus’s sanded down at the foot dr this morn.
Have a dermatology appointment ( growths) next week.

@missred and @Chefguy very nice.

:cherries: and :strawberry:

Fruit salad fruit salad, yummy yummy.

Very jealous of the red fruits.

My red fruit today is :tomato:s. By the bushel.

We were peeling and they ran me out. Seems knife work might not be safe for me today.

Guess I’ll to give up my evil crossover career as a stabber.

Oh. Well. The stains are horrendous.

Matter of fact, I picked up some nice peaches from the store today, so a fruit bowl is in our future.

I’m sure I’m just like the rest of you in hoping that we soon get a report about Jane the Canes’s surgery. Whoever hears something, please post it immediately.

I wish I was there to bring her ice packs and her pain medications, ahem….all of them, as soon as she gets home.

I just spent a week cat sitting a friend’s Maine Coon-she was enormous but the sweetest cat. It made me want to make George’s acquaintance even more. I hope he can give her some gentle cuddles to jump start her full recovery.

Counselling went well. We discussed transitioning plans and what I wanted to get out of GAHT. She assured that I’ll be getting a WPATH letter. After that, I’ll need to give a copy to my insurance, which will open doors and make certain things, like hair removal, covered.

Mrs Magill made me a caprese salad to go with my lunch today. I love fresh tomatoes.

so all went well and I am home and very cranky. George is afraid of my sling and my right thumb is dead.

Mom has been called and I’m realizing I forgot to find and download the drivers for my dvd player. Vaping is a sorry substitute for smokin’

Grump, grump, grump. This already sucks and I have 6 more weeks to look forward to.

At least my shoulder doesnt hurt for a change. Until the block wears off that is.

ETA Thanks, BBBoo. I love you right back

Oh boy, I love that blocker.

Feel better soon @JaneDoe42

The local non-Amish farm has had wonderful peaches in the past. I stopped there yesterday. They’re closed Mon & Tues, dammit. I’ll try again tomorrow.

My mom, she of the greenest thumb in the universe, used to grow the BEST 'maters in abundance. As a kid, I’d pick me a beauty, rinse it off, then slice it and sammich it between to pieces of lightly toasted white bread with mayo. It’s just not the same with the meh store-bought 'maters. I’ll see what the market has when I go for peaches. Mom quit messing with veggie patches some years back.

JtC - look at it this way - you’re one day closer to having recovery behind you! Healing vibes coming your way…

They’ll go by quickly enough. We’ve got your back.

I’ve been growing romas for sauce, which are not as good for sandwiches. Cherokee purple, OTOH. Mmm…
