Well, while I was weeding, he loaded Otis into the car and took him to the marina, so that’s a start.
Speaking of weeding, too bad there’s not a market for crab grass and spurge - I’d be a billionaire!!! Instead, I just have an achy back and a lot more weeding to do, another day.
I find myself doing that during mid-week grocery shopping. And of course, we do that on cruises. FCD looks like he fits in with them, but I can still pass for 40… 50? 60? 70? ![]()

Thanks to Dad’s hair gene, I’m still not showing gray, but the backs of my hands are decidedly old-lady-like.
I’ve hit 2. One did a job on my poor little Scion (to the tune of $3K+ back in 2007 or 8) but the other was barely a nudge, as I was just starting from a dead stop when the stoopit thing ran in front of my car. Lots of cracked plastic on my Aerostar, and I bet that deer had a heckuva bruise.
We’ve never bagged, but the soil here is so crappy, I don’t know that the clippings help much. Still, every little bit…
I toured the Coors plant about 25 years ago and I did try some. Not a smart idea on an empty stomach. I didn’t get sick, but woozies ensued. And I still didn’t get the appeal. (And yes, I know Coors is held in disdain among beer drinkers.)
Yay for back relief, nellie!!
I’m showered and dressed in non-sweaty attire, about to make lunch. Even after 2 days, I don’t think I’m even halfway done with the weeding. I wish I’d taken a “Before” photo - it would show impressive progress. I’ll have to rely on my memories.
OK, to the kitchen!!
