Good morning.
It’s 54F and mostly clear outside, but the clouds are moving in. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a chance of showers and a daytime high of 69°F. Rain is arriving this evening. I’m thankful for the lower temps; it reached 90°F yesterday, and you could definitely feel the humidity.
JtC, I’m glad the surgery went well and that you’re home. I hope the pain levels are being kept in check today.
Nellie, I agree that the nephew needs to learn some hard lessons. But, I can fully understand his mother not wanting him to suffer. What a horrible Catch-22. I hope Max’s person is doing better today.
When I lived in Germany and visited my Oma, I would get to eat sunflower seeds straight from the sunflower head. I had a little friend who lived right outside the town walls, and I would visit her whenever I was in town. Back in those days, no one saw anything odd about a little five-year-old wandering around town, and outside the town walls up to the hills. Such splendid memories! My Oma’s town was quite small back then, but very, very, very old. It’s now surrounded by a Nature Park because of a river that runs through it.
I got the lawn mowed and weed-whacked and all the plants watered before 10:00 a.m. yesterday. I didn’t do much after that, but that’s okay.
I may go to the nursery today, just to get out and about. But, once again, I don’t really have any plans. Also, how the hell can it be Thursday already?! I swear it was just Monday yesterday.
Please take care of yourselves.
