It ain’t cold out but it is rainy. Somehow that makes it just right to have chili and cornbread for dindin. Yay for homemade chili in da freezer.

We had and early and super-yummy supper. Ham steak, corn muffins, and “company cabbage” which is cabbage, onions, and shredded carrots cooked in bullion, then tossed with a butter-mustard-pecan mixture. Very tasty and definitely a keeper recipe!
We’ve been getting a lot of rain, and from the looks of the radar, more is on the way. At least it’s just rain. Had it been colder, we’d have been shoveling. But it looks like early next week, Ocala will be upper 70s/low 80s - guess we’ll need to pack shorts!
Just don’t drop it or PETA will get all up in your business.
I lay down for a short nap when I got home from irk. Three hours later, I wake up wondering why it’s so dark. :smack: Tireder than I thought.
Ok, there’s a commercial on teevee talkin’ about how hard it is to bake a N.O.T. Really? You have a hard time cookin’ a baked N.O.T.? Well, then, you are forever banished from all kitchens! Sheesh!
Cold and winddy. I made Chipolte BBQ chicken for dinner.
that’s like Ear cleaner As Seen On TV ad “ouch!”
:dubious:
doggio is that the ear vacuum thingy? EEK!
Ok, it’s just before eight in the p.m. and I can hardly keep my eyes open. OYKW is yawnin’ his haid off as well. Mayhaps I shall go snuggle down with my human fur blanket then.
Yep.
I was about to post a status on Facebook about Facebook not working for me. :smack:
I prefer SPCAES.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, with the Exception of Snakes.
I don’t mind snakes as long as they stay out of my living space. Ticks now, there is no reason for a tick. Eradicate 'em.

Right up there with the ads that show people who can’t drain a pot of spaghetti without dumping it all over, or who are incapable of using a blanket that doesn’t have sleeves, or any number of others…
Before perusing that link, I had no idea there were so many products out there to clean grout!
Good morning! I decided to get up with Higgs so I’d be tired enough tonight to fall asleep early so’s I can get up for work tomorrow. That’s the theory - we’ll see how it goes. Slight chance of rain this morning, but it looks (from the radar) like the weather has moved on, and we should see sun this afternoon. Oh yeah, and we won *ZIP *on the mega-millions drawing, but I may get tickets for the next one, just because.
Happy Sunday - week anna half till Christmas for those totally unaware!
Up, caffeinated, off to work. Not as bad as Christmases past.
FCM, I’m buying a Mega ticket, too. $500million will buy a lot of bacon.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 54 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 54 for the day. :dubious:
MOOOOOOM this means nobody ever has an excuse for dirty grout.
If doggio wins mega million, bacon partay at his place!
Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. At some point purtification for deheathenization must commence. Truth be told, I really don’t wanna go. This mornin’s service is “Advent Lessons and Carols” which I think I’m supposed to be excitated about. However, I find it to be a big ol’ yawner. Scripture, music, scripture, music, scripture, music, lather, rinse, repeat a few more times, then Holy Communion. The Holy Communion part is good but the rest is sooooooo boooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnnnn’!
Oh well, Happy Sunday Y’all!
I think the weather is having a blurf
This must not be Lutheran Sunday or it would be all out of tune.
It’s a cold, windy, gray day in the high country. I need to clean this place up and make some jambalaya. I also need to finish making plastic yarn for a nice yellow bag. I made the mistake of looking up different ways to make rag rugs this week and now I want a hand loom.
It’s very snowy today, but supposedly less cold than yesterday.
Bah. Humbug.
I’ve spent the last hour trying to figure out the automated subbing system. Or, rather, how to combine districts that I work for so that I can just use a single login. Also, trying to figure out why I’m no longer on the list for one of the districts where I used to sub at. I think it’s time for a break.
Happy Sunday!
It’s waring up, it’s 35 degrees outside with a high of 43.
The toilet is being fixed by a local handyman. The man had a stroke years ago and you can barely understand a word he says but if you can get a hold of him he does good work.
For that I will do the happy dance.
I haven’t seen the mousie in days, more happy dancing.
It takes so little to make me dance.
Here in the frozen north there’s a popular song that goes, “Mon pays, ce n’est pas un pays, c’est l’hiver.” (My country is not a country, it is winter.) Seems appropriate today.
