It's a rainy, cool Sunday afternoon, and I'm doing bugger all.

And if I may quote Paul Simon, I’ve “Got no deeds to do, No promises to keep.”

I’m rather enjoying some much-needed down time.

I don’t seem to get enough of this, so it’s really quite nice to experience.

So you’re spending the day engaged in buggery?

I’d love to go out and do something, but its hot as the Devils Nutsack and I’m trapped inside. And I’m bored out of my mind.

I did a load of laundry, and then had a nap.

I need to relax now.

Sounds like you were dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
mmm

Been sewing all afternoon. We’re now do for a major thunderstorm here in Philly. What should I unplug? I have surge protectors for a few electronic items, but why be half-safe?

Feeling groovy, man.

It’s a rainy, cool Sunday afternoon, and I’m doing bugger all.

*The rain is falling on the site, the tea’s upon the brew.
We’re sitting on our arseholes with bugger all to do.
Outside out picks and shovels, lads, they slowly rust away.
We’re rained off and contented on four pounds a day.

Four pounds a day, me lads, and nothing much to do.
No trouble from the foreman, he’s in the union too.
Some want the rain to go to Spain, we want the rain to stay.
We’re rained off and contented on four pounds a day.*

(ETA: Recorded by Ian Campbell and his Folk Group. I found a lot of his tracks on YouTube, but I don’t recall that I ever found this one there. Maybe someone else can try harder?)
