It's Alive!-A Bachelor Fridge MMP

(((((Taters and family)))))

Goodness, it’s afternoon already over here. Who stole my morning? I had a lovely evening out with my friend, sipping cocktails and munching yummy food - now 'im indoors is properly jealous because it’s a restaurant he’s never been to so I have to take him there next time he’s in the UK and we have time together.

I got home at a reasonable hour and even managed to get the bedding changed last night before bed, which was good because I love the smell of fresh linen. So that is one of today’s jobs that got crossed off the list yesterday. Yay! Tonight I have to go shopping for holiday toiletries on the way home, get the cats fed, vacuum the floors, wash the bedding, sort out the ironing and get some dinner for me, then head out to the station at 10pm to collect him, providing his trains are on time.

Tomorrow is our girlie day at the health spa so that will be fun, must remember tonight to get my stuff together for that. We’re spending the day at the spa (one bride-to-be and four other friends) and then going to one of the nearby pubs for some food afterwards so it will be a very relaxed and chilled out day. Sunday I am planning to do nothing at all apart from downloading my pics from Antwerp last weekend and writing out my packing list for Tuesday. Oooh…holidays! How exciting!

Happy Firday

Happy Firday and YAY for oil shut off!!!

{{{{taters and taters sis}}}}

tarra, that must have been something!

Putting in a little bit of time this morning and then we’re off to the winery. Should be interesting.

Tupug

Wineries are cool! There are a couple in King George and Westmoreland counties in VA that I’ve been to - love me some wine tasting! We also toured one in St. Augustine, but I don’t know where their vineyard was, since the building we visited was in the midst of the concrete jungle…

Nephew’s room is tidied and readied. I made up the futon for him and pushed all the junk we store in that room into one corner. I pulled out the piano bench so he’d have a place to put his stuff, and the guest bathroom is ready for him. Daughter is going to mix up the salt water for the aquarium and I’ve got to empty the dishwasher. But I’m showered, which is great - I was kinda hot and icky after fixing the guest room up.

We’ll be leaving for the airport in 90 minutes or so - I may have time to do some knitting! YAY!

And YAY for oil stoppage! Here’s hoping that’s the end of the outpouring, and here’s hoping for a resolution to the cleanup soon, too.

Indeed YAY for oil stoppage!

Ya know there’s nuttin’ like somebody who shall remain nameless lookin’ at his appointment card and seein’ the appointment is for July 19th not July 16th. :dubious::rolleyes::stuck_out_tongue: I still get Chinese and pizza today cause I was promised and I was willin’ to take him to the appointment and will on Monday cause I’m all nice like that dammit!

MOOOOOOM we’ve been on that winery tour in St. Augie. It was a jake tour and we brought home several bottles of muscadine wine. Plus a tour bus took us there and back to our motel so we got a little buzzed with no worries.

As it happens, the vinyard for the winery you went to is the one we are visiting today. It’s in Clermont, Flawduh, and is indeed a Muscadine vinyard. (I looked it up on Google, so it must be true.)

Good morning, y’all! Being dragged into more meetings today. I wish they’d leave me out of the meetings and let me do my job. Sigh.

Annie, I’m with ya on the meetings - In my entire life, I don’t know if I’ve been in a dozen that have been worth anything. Worst are the weekly “status” meetings - always a huge waste of time - even if there are donuts.

But I’m off today, so no meetings for me! :smiley: Except for meeting my nephew at the airport. According to the website, his flight is slightly delayed - oh well, Southwest tends to run early anyway, so he may well land as scheduled - we shall see.

I want a muffin, dammit!

You get donuts at your meetings, FCM?! I don’t get squat at any of the useless meetings I must attend.

Thanks again everyone for your good thoughts for my sister. I’m trying to remain positive.

Today is my RDO, so I’m sitting here caffienating. The dogs got me up three times before I just finally gave up at 7:00 and stayed up.

I have some errands to run today and I’m hoping to sneak a pedicure in there as well.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

It’s my RDO too, Taters. Here’s some more hugs for {{{you and your sister.}}} Haven’t seen hide nor hair of my little red-haired boy. I force myself to think that he is being looked after properly, but my heart hurts.

I left work early yesterday, thus avoiding another dreaded meeting. I wasn’t feeling well. Still not up to snuff, but it’s sooo much better being at home with a bad tummy.

We have a battle going on with the post office. A company expense check was mailed to Mr Rebo on Jun 29. We never received it. Trying to call the post office is a lesson in futility. He’s called and been transferred and hung up on a multitude of times. I called five times, and only got through one time. The guy put me on hold, and left me until I hung up - about 15 minutes. The other times, the phone just rang and rang, and nobody ever answered.

So he called the main office, and they couldn’t get through to our local post office either! They are filing a complaint! I don’t know what good contacting them will do, but hopefully our terrible mail carrier will get taken to task. He’s ALWAYS mixing up the mail, and delivering wrong stuff. I’m sure the check was given to someone else, and hopefully they just threw it away.

I can’t believe his company would snail mail a check anyway - why not direct deposit it like his paycheck?

Oh well - enough ranting. TGIF, right? :slight_smile:

Aw **rebo, **I hope they’re finally taking proper care of Dipsey too. I’m sorry that your heart hurts and that you’re not feeling well.

I’ve managed to pay a couple of bills and will have to get in the shower soon. We thought we had finally escape-proofed the back yard, but last night Brandi dug out a new spot under the fence and escaped. Thus, I need to purchase cinder blocks to put under the fence, so she can’t get out anymore. I’ll put those in the areas where the fence runs along the garden and the soil is soft.

Miracle of miracles, Polar actually stayed in the yard, so I wasn’t aware that Brandi had escaped until I went to let both of the dogs back in.

Fortunately, I saw her coming around the corner from the other development, shook her leash at her, and managed to get her back in the house.

I’d like to sneak a pedicure in today as well. We’ll see what happens.

We have donuts every once in a while, but I always turn them down. I’ve lost 85 pounds so far, and am not going to let one Krispy Kreme (which will turn into about 6-7) bring me down!

<sticks head up>

Friday? Good!

<hunkers back down>

We et good Chinese for lunch and then had nappypoo time. That’s the excitement from swampland today.

Back from airport and late lunch. Nephew’s plane was early and we were late, but he was smart enough to get his bag, then come back upstairs to the concourse, so we got him. He’s going with daughter and her friends to a concert tonight at the local college. They’ll be leaving shortly.

We don’t always have donuts at meetings - just occasionally. Mostly we just bring our own mugs o’beverages. Doesn’t matter - meetings suck.

I’m tired, and thirsty. Don’t wanna do nuttin’… That’s all I’ve got.

Pizza et. Papa John’s done good!

OYKW went to get the pizza after I ordered it online. How did we ever live without teh intertoobz! Anywho, he was gone a little longer than it usually takes and I was beginnin’ to wonder when he got back. Seems we just had to make a stop at Sam’s Club and get this enormous apple pie. He said he got to thinkin’ about it on the way to get pizza and since he had to pass right by Sam’s it seemed logical. Ummm… yeah right by Sam’s if you detour about three quarters of a mile. :smiley:

Phone interviews were done today - not really fun, worked on presentations, should have worked on my document for one of the processe I have to do but I really had no motivation today.

We are headed out for an undisclosed place for dinner…mr ems choice I am grateful as I had no energy to cook but I also cannot be bother to get decent to go out.

I am off to change the cat litter box …envy me! :smiley:

mmmmmm the snack bar at :eek:Wally*World:eek: is the perfect place to eat out when you can’t be bothered with lookin’ presentable. :smiley:

Home, making a list of stuff I need to do. Have the sniffles; hoping that it’s allergies and not a cold!!!

Should go out for a walk, I suppose.

Hugs.
