I had to 'splain to my boss why certain inventory variances had to be held until the carrier claim is submitted (different offset account). I’m fortunate that he usually defers to me on the accounting matters (he came from the data geek end of the department).
I’m tweaking a project that I supposedly completed last evening tonight. It didn’t quite look finished, so I’m cutting frames for the focal point. I found two cherry tomatoes on one lf the plants from the second round that weren’t there yesterday, so I shouldn’t have long eating farmer’s market 'maters.
I haven’t talked to him, but his uncle did. The conversation went something like, did your dad physically or sexually abuse you as a child? No. Did he neglect your basic needs? No. Ok, what did he do? He raised his voice and it hurt my feelings.
On to bigger and better things, I suppose. FCM, I’m all out of ice cream, what kind do you have??
mooommmmReally? I ain’t looking for fancy. I need about 150 hairpieces and used to buy up,a bunch of yarn and throughout the year just make braids, short hair tied together or long hair tied together. One of my clerks swears she is allergic to the smell of the dye and cannot be around it. In the past I had the youth group do it as they sat around watching movies. I have some bits and pieces and will happily send what I have and pay postage. You are the best Mooommm ever!!!. I need it by early Oct. i shall round up any and all yarn I have and get it sent off and hopefully you van use it for so,ething worthwhile. You just saved the pumpkin decorating part of this shindig.
Ok, so i am all caught up. My best clerk is leaving me in a month. She has agreed to help me on Sat and Sunday do all the A/P. On Sat we are manning the desks until one. On Sunday the office is closed so I can get ahead of my insane A/P deadlines. All of us are burned out or have other committments.
Teen who normally works Sat has been told by her parents she must attend her little brother’s state baseball finals. Other Sat clerk asked off to take her adult son to UF as a look see. He presently attends Old Dominion. I later found out they are also going to Universal Studios. This is the same clerk I had such a hard time getting the After Action from. I could have said no but I did not know about the Universal side trip until last minute.
On a holiday weekend I am covering both of my Sat clerks. Thank God for my other clerk that has agreed to help me. I hate to lose her but she comes with a bunch of drama and baggage. We have worked together for over 5 yrs and i need someone who can almost read my mind which she’s gotten good at.
I sent off am email to HR yesterday asking for applications and a certificate of eligibles so I van start the hiring process and got crickets. Later an all hands mail was sent out with the openings broke down instead of a generic open continuous. I gave her the Leads seperation in late April. I am pissed.
This is the first chance I had to read today. I got the last set of my rooster pecker shots so this time next week I expect to be pain free or almost. Firday marks 8 weeks of no smokimg but the struggle is real.
The best news I have had all day is Mooommm agreeing to make me some pumpkin hair. Cannot thank you enough. I will send you a PM.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 85 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse especially this afternoon and evenin’. We shall see. I have actually been productive as the smokeage of ribs 'n chikin has commenced. Go Me! It will all be done by around eleven so’s I can wrap the ribs in heavy foil. I like to finish 'em off in the oven on a very low heat for a couple of hours. They are so tender that way. The chikin boobs ‘n laigs to be eaten Sattidy will go in a slow cooker Sattidy mornin’ on low. They’ll already be cooked but that keeps 'em warm and tender. Much nummy eats shall ensue!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I shall purtify a bit and commence with preppin’ other stuff for the big feast.

**Butters **- I answered your PMs before reading here, so I’ve got the answers to my questions. I started last night and I think I went a bit overboard - I shall alter my approach so I can get you as many as you need. Once I figure out how to do them, it should go really fast. I’ll be glad to use up the leftover yarn bits.
Today I need to figure out if I need to come in tomorrow or not. The boss sent me an email with a long list, but for all I know, each thing will only take a couple of minutes. So we shall see. In any event, I’ll have at least 4 days in a row off, so yay!

Found out yesterday that an old teacher of the OWs we were good friends with died - OSB nun. Found out this AM Bumper Car Jack, a long-time employee at Knoebels died. Waiting for details to see if we can make visitations for either. Us Knoebels Krew are strange ----- for people like Jack we would drive 9 hours just to pay our respects ----- heck, we’ve done it before. It is just one of those special places where everyone becomes part of your family.

Butters, is there a pattern or guide or something on how to make the pumpkin hair? I have some random yarn lying around that I need to do something with.

I couldn’t find a specific pattern - I just crocheted a little round - 12 DC first round, 24 DC second round - then 4 strands at a time like attaching fringe, I attached it all over the round. It was a bit time consuming, tho. I’m going to experiment with braids and buns and mohawks this weekend - I’ll share what I figure out.

I’m about to head up to Portland to drop off 'Beamer new dog at the vet there to get extensive dental work done. Poor little guy has mouth problems so bad they caused heart damage! While he’s getting that done, we’re heading off to the puppy breeder, if I don’t chicken out. Of course, I stayed up until 3 and got up a 6. Sleep is for sissies!
