Yay Picunurse! I’m glad there is some stuff in there you can enjoy… had no idea you have a rock fetish, but glad you like them.
My name is gardentraveler and I am a procrastinator. Dunno what it is lately, but I seem to be on permanent mañana standard time.
Anyhoo: TODAY I procured the flat-rate box from the post office. RIGHT NOW, I am filling it with exciting [del]stuff that’s lying around my house[/del] goodies. The only reason I’m not mailing it tonight is that the Post Office isn’t open right now.
If the forces of nature and fate continue to work in my favor, my pachyderm will be winging its way eastward tomorrow.
ETA: Edward the Head, I am disappointed that I was not your elephantee.
<trumpets>
An elephant is now lumbering it’s way toward Sin City as we speak – expect it sometime next week, and enjoy all the crap it offers!
I just got a call from the mailroom to “come pick up this package, it’s been in your box all week.”
HUH?!?
Yep, it’s an elephant. I pointed out the “To” address and the postage stamps I had placed on there. I reminded them that I had asked them to leave it for the postal carrier to pick up. I was rewarded with a blank stare and a finger pointing to the return address “But it has your name on it!”
Poor ele. I’ll get him fed and watered and hopefully to the post office tonight before they close.
My pkg is small, but chock full of gaming related items. Hope my elephantee in Santa Rosa like Vegas stuff! They should get their pkg tomorrow.
No pkg on my doorstep yet, But HalBriston noted one is winding its way to Sin City, so hopefully thats me!
I’ll neither confirm nor deny anything…
…but I will say I should have paid closer attention to where the package was going before tossing all those decks of cards that my in-laws brought me back from their trip to Vegas. ![]()
Oh yes, nearly forgot – there’s an elephant on my table! I won’t have time to open it until after The Littlest Briston goes to bed – full report later…
My outgoing elephant has been sent to someone who isn’t participating in this exchange. But whose parental unit is.
Should be there Saturday or Monday.
My incoming elephant has arrived and I’m now going off to open it. Yay!
False alarm – I forgot about a recent eBaying.
Hey, it looked like an elephant…
Mine, on the other hand, was not a false alarm. I just never made it back to say thanks to fluidruid for the tremendously amusing and eclectic elephant. I have to run off now, but I’ll be back to describe the contents. For now, I’ll just say that the purse reminded me of something my grandma would have bought for me at some point. It made me grin.
That was me! I did get it today. All kinds of goodies were inside including two packs of cards, a dice poker set, post-its (because who doesn’t need post-its!?), 2 electric hand held fans, and tons of strings of beads (I didn’t even have to flash anyone, score!). I especially appreciated the business card for a Bail Bondsman in Vegas. I don’t know what you have heard about me, but I will definitely be keeping these in my wallet on my next trip to Vegas. I am sure they will get good use. ![]()
My outbound elephant should have been received a couple weeks ago … ? … I’m picturing a lost oliphaunt tramping through the woods. Looks a bit like Horton …
Piggy Miggy went to school today for Show and Tell. She and Celtling have worked up a routine where Celtling sings “Old MacDonald had a farm . . .” And when she gets to the “had a pig” verse, Piggy Miggy jumps in "with a [squeak, squeak] here and a [squeak, squeak] there. . . "
The teachers loved it so much that they made a little tour of the school, performing for each classroom.
I really can’t imagine any elephant ever giving more joy to anyone. Thanks again.
No elephant here yet.
you may have gotten one of those procrastinating senders, floaty, but i sense yours will arrive soon.
Glad you enjoyed the goodies. BTW, the Bail Bonds Agent business card-- Well, um…that’s my business card
Glad you liked it! I found the Michael Jackson thing in the parking lot of a Goodwill store. It was the weirdest thing I’ve seen in a long time and I new I had to pass it along.
I just got home from vacation, and was hoping an elephant would be waiting for me. Alas, it was not to be.
My edafunt will be leaving today for the great NW.
Canada Post is experiencing rotating strikes at present and I hope it doesn’t get held up in a job action.
Just received a most pleasantly packed pachyderm from sitchensis!
It included such joys as:
Bear country cards!
A lil measuring tape!
Dog toy!

Altoids!
Scary john deere puzzle!

Hideous beer stein (bonus - I do know someone who collects these. I may have to ship it to texas!)
Disaster preparedness materials!!! The neon tapes are going to take a field trip to western NY!
