I’m going to guess that the elephant I found shivering on my doorstep tonight after work was from you? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had a blast opening it and there is TONS of cools stuff there!
I will post a more complete list tomorrow, but the things that made me smile the biggest was the adorable little birdhuse windchime-I have a thing for windchimes! and the doggie picture frame; that will be going to work with me to proudly display one of my puppers on my desk!
There are books and pencils and notepads and a shirt and… and… well, it’s late, soI’ll give inventory tomorrpw, but please know you gave me a smile after a horrid night!
Ray Ban sunglasses (which have been scooped by the Mr.)
Thank you cards (always helpful)
Neopet stickers (and I actually HAVE a Neopet which is a touch humiliating for a 38 year old woman)
Beaded necklaces
A nifty belt
Eyeballs
A CD player (hubby also scooped this)
Safety dooers for electrical plugs (perfectly timed - Junior is just starting to get interested in that sort of thing)
And a whole bunch of shattered glass. Just a quick reminder to omit breakables if you haven’t shipped already!
Anyhooo - I was able to pick the glass out of everything else and it is now making itself comfortable in it’s new home - thanks Snowcarpet!!
My elephant is finally packed and ready to go - it will be winging it’s way to southern California tomorrow! I think via Purolator so it should arrive in about 2 or 3 days.
EEEK! I think I know what it was, and it was pure stupidity on my part. I put in a small random picture frame, and never considered that it was breakable :smack:
I am officially no longer a slacker! I just sent my elephant scampering off to Nova Scotia. Have you ever seen an elephant scamper? Let me tell you, it is something else. He was happy to stretch his legs after sitting on my kitchen table for a couple of weeks…
sorry for the cryptic response! sorry, i’ve had a lot going on this past couple weeks and hadn’t checked back to the thread. thanks for retelling the story edward the head. it’s cool having a little piece of another family’s history, and i enjoyed your letter and hearing the story about your mom.
i’m out of town currently, but back on monday and my box will be out by tuesday, the due date. sorry for the last minute send off, but better late than never!

My daughter is still oohing and awing over everything -
She is 7 and is most intrigued with the idea of someone sending junk in the mail.
Thank you so much!!!
I sent my elephant ages ago but since it went parcel it’s not there yet.
I have been a little out of it for the last few weeks with work travel. I received my White E box a few weeks back after a stressful day. I picked it up at my mailbox and took it to my car to open it I was pretty excited. I have to say, sitting in the driver’s seat in the parking lot, I laughed until I cried. There was an old postcard about Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a note that said ”the one postcard was me being dumb and thinking AK was Arkansas up until I bought it. Oh well, It’s still funny” I have to tell you, It was a whole lot funnier than getting a postcard about Alaska.
I sent mine out today after the long weekend. It should take the plane rather than the barge and be there in a few.
Made it today! It was waiting patiently on my porch when I left to go to the eye doctor.
I haven’t had a chance to go through it fully, but The Bball cap and apron Hubby scarfed up. I did find the stones… Sweet! How did you know about my rock fettish?
The handle of the tea cup broke:( but I think I can fix it. I have a friend who loves dogs and doggy things that will love the clock and music box. FIL will like the singing doggy.
The rest is waiting for a quiet moment to look through carefully.
