It's Dubya to the rescue!

True. I guess I, uh, forgot about the decimal. :o

Bet Bill Clinton could raise $100 million by November.

This is not about Trump. It’s about keeping a GOP majority in the Senate. Something Trump will need, btw, if he does get elected.

If they pulled in a million every event that would require 100 events or 20 a month until the election. He may be a George but he ain’t no Clooney.

What does it matter how much he raises? It didn’t do Jeb any good and he raised heaps, remember?

Wouldn’t be their first hare-brained idea.

Well, at least when Bush said things would be easier if he were a dictator, he was joking.

That couldn’t have anything to do with Jeb, himself, could it? As in “ran one of the worst campaigns ever”? Nah, it must mean that any money GWB raises will be useless.

Funny, yes, but wasn’t that Obama who said that? Or maybe both…?

No, it was Dubya.

I was right in my second guess. Both.

But no matter. In this context, it’s only the Bush quote that gets the chuckle.

How the mighty have fallen! How poignant to see so many posts mentioning Jeb without his exclamation point any more.

One of the funniest political moments ever.

John, you’ve already admitted you prefer Clinton over Trump. It’s time you admit that you are a Liberal Republican like me, see that we were kicked out of the tent in 1980, and go Dem.

Anderson in 1980!

I’m not sure what that post had to do with admitting anything. I’m more of a small “L” libertarian than anything. The main thing (but not the ONLY thing) that keeps me away from the Republican party these days is their hawkishness. I’m happy to vote for either a Democrat or a Republican if I’m certain they will keep us out of military engagements that are not related to the direct defense of the US. And I don’t like it when either party is in full control, so given the pacifist stance that is so important, I prefer a Democrat in the WH, and let at least one House of Congress stay in Republican control.

Gun to my head, though, I’d go all Democrat over all Republican without any hesitation.

Polls show that people do not have a negative view of ACA. They have a negative view of Obamacare.

It’s to good to see you come around, Mr. Cadet. Didn’t you used to be one of those libtard gun grabbers? I see other posters also point out that GUNS! are the only important issue in this or any American political campaign.

Or, more simply, just delete all ‘nyt’ cookies. This is legal — due to your 2nd Amendment right to access ammunition advertisements — but to be safe from prosecution you might want to make sure to hold a loaded weapon while clicking Delete.

“libtard” is really too much, septimus. No warning issued but please don’t use it again.

Honestly, I’d prefer that no one feel a need to resort to namecalling and such derogatory behavior. Just because media commentators feel a need is no reason for us to tolerate it.
