This is Southern California. We live at 2700’, granted, but it’s the end of March, fer Og’s sake. But sure enough, it is snowing like all get out outside. It isn’t sticking, mind you. But it’s snowing.
Good thing we have food, beer and bourbon. Time to hunker down and ride out the “storm.”
Downtown LA we got the winds and a freak rainstorm. With the winds, the rain blew sideways. And, just like during the Santa Anas, the winds rocked the building all day. Made me seriously dizzy.
Snowed up here in the high desert, too. And I’m on freakin’ spring break. It’s still freakin’ cold and windy, and it was still snowing in Tehachapi this afternoon.
Today is started out with June Gloom fog. The fog burned off and it became nice around 70°F, sunny with a friggen’ howling wind. Next, some huge threatening clouds came over the mountains and it rains hard for about fifteen minutes. Apparently there was hail elsewhere in town. The rain stops, it clears up and once again it’s a beautiful sunny, albeit windy, spring day.
