Happy Sunday!
I got a good night’s sleep for change.
Cold - 43 degrees - and windy outside. Supposed to get up to 52.
I have lots to do, yet really nothing to do. Or rather there are things to be done but my son needs to do them.

Morning all. Temperature was 40F when I got up this morning and the house, while not that cold, was on the cool side so I turned on the heat for the first time this season. We’ll see how long it takes to warm up. Long range forecast is highs in the 60’s, maybe near 70F, and night time in the 40’s.
Think I’ll go up to Tennessee to buy the lottery tickets Moanday, likely to be less of a crowd there on a irkday, I think.
Temps still in the mid-40s and it’s windy as all heck. Maybe I’ll be able to mulch later, but I ain’t gonna do it now! Time for crocheting in front of Netflix.
Howdy Y’all! We have deheathenated. Also went to BK and got some chikin nuggets and fries to bring back to the cave. They have been ingested. ‘Tis coolish (63 Amurrkin) out but N.O.S. Thus da cave windows are open for some fresh air. Nappage shall be accomplished for sure. OYKW expressed a desire for N.O.T. tots while we were on the way home this mornin’. I mentioned the fact that I bought a bag of N.O.T. tots when I was at the Pubic Sto’ on Wednesday. So, sup shall be burgers with N.O.T. tots. I told him that if he would grill the burgers I would whomp up a cheese sauce for the N.O.T. tots. He said I was too good for him. I agreed.
CupCakes I think the Priest should let you be first to Communion.
Well, fine then, I’ll just talk to myself.
Nappage has been achieved. In a while we shall commence preparation of sup. Then I have one final chore, haulin’ the biiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I won’t say this is the laziest afternoon we’ve ever had, but definitely in the top five.
I’m back from dinner, went to Golden Corral for Pot Roast and noodles, with soup and salad and two fudgie brownies to complete the feast. Drove around a bit afterward, it made it to 60F so the car windows were down and the A/C was off.
Inside now and probably staying in for the duration. All y’all take care and I’ll catch you on the next MMP.
I was sitting here minding my own business and I hear a clicking at the window. I look over and a damn tree rat was climbing down my window and stopped to sit on the sill.
I raised the window and yelled at him to get off my window.
He jumped off and ran away, leaving a puddle of pee behind.
made it through the aunts birthday with the least amount of obnoxiousness from relatives
I swear some I know people think the proclamation and amendment were repealed just for them every year on their birthdays ….
So far last weeks expected slops weren’t made but they will eventually ……… and it has warmed up here so a not horrible week has passed
We have supped and the biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled down to the road for pickup tomorrow. The garage door has also been closed, thus tellin’ the world we are officially in for the evenin’. Once the garage door closes all communication with people irl ceases.
Sari guess that tree rat showed you!
Supper was yum! Dishes are now done and I’m going to veg the evening away - kinda like the afternoon. It’s still a little breezy and I decided it was just too chilly to be out there today because I didn’t wanna be out there. So I didn’t.
Thus endeth my weekend.
We got cable! (for one tv) Some cable is better than none, say I! I did other unpacking type things that are a blur. I am sure they were important.
I can’t remember if I mentioned that 'Beamer was accepted to the school we hoped for. If I did, you get to hear it again. It’s for autistic kids “just like him”, meaning high functioning, smart, and yet autistic. I was thrilled to hear that the goal is to not only get him the tools he needs to function in society, but also to get the kids into college. He’s been told so long that he can’t go (at school - not at home!). It was lovely to have the school tell him they believed in him too.
Akiko continues to be lovely. We had family over to help unpack yesterday and she forgot what potty-training was, but she’ll get there.
It’s been a gorgeous, albeit chilly, day for riding!
SIL flaked out on our roll down highway 41, so my riding buddy and I took the trip. We rode down through Monteagle (ruble, you’d appreciate that ride), stopped in Tracy City at the Dutch Maid Bakery The Bakery — Dutch Maid Bakery (baker, you’d love this place) where I picked up the annual fruit cake for Dad (I wrap it in boubon soaked cheesecloth for about a month before taking it to him for Thanksgiving) and I got a gingersnap that tasted like the ones that my grandmother used to make. We looped through Altamont and stopped to see a friend there on the way back. Nelson and his bud Elvis (my friend’s dog) were happy to see us when we got home.
Now to finish KP and fold the towels that I forgot to fold yesterday. ![]()
Well, I was pretty much the first civilian up there. The choir goes first, and I sat in the front row, so that I could slip out the side and get the table set up, before the rest of the service concluded. I had chocolate cookies with black walnuts, snickerdoodles, some cheese and crackers, and sausage cheese balls.***** The latter are a favorite, since I started bringing them. And I got to set out a big bowl of cut fruit left over from the Friday feedings while the bishop was getting elected.

Sausage cheese balls*
Combine equal ammounts by weight of grated cheese, bulk sausage, and biscuit/baking mix. Knead it into a dough, combining well. Scoop into small balls, (no snickering) and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake until browned.
You can use just about any sausage or cheese, so the flavors can be changed from spicy to sharp or middle of the road. So easy to make, and you could freeze the balls, (stop it!) and keep for later, when you need a fast snack.
Had an all-day rehearsal with my band. Was exhausted and depressed and hardly able to focus. It led to some not-ideal feelings and behaviour in me.
Today would’ve been my mother’s 67th birthday.
In addition, I’m so sad and exhausted I don’t have much physical or mental energy to care for myself, let alone the apartment, and my very neurotypical roommate thinks my behaviour is weird.
I have physical conditions (too much of a cough, bloating, and others) that I’ve seen doctors for, who think it’s no big deal. And I have mental conditions that can’t even be fixed.
My roommate has been stressing me out a whole lot lately, but I don’t have a job and don’t really have any other options of where to live at the moment. I’ve felt so down lately I haven’t even worked much if at all on my own projects.
I visited my family the other day and it’s so depressing how negative they feel about their own life situations.
I want to think things can get better, but I don’t see how they can.
I had fun at the Season Ticket thing. Got to do some skating, even managed to skate without holding onto the wall. And avodi running over small children who skate 1000% better than I do. Survived work.
Sari, I had a tree rat on the porch screen the other day. Both “mighty hunters” slept through it.:dubious:
{{{{Midget}}}}
I’m sorry Midget. {{{hugs}}} Life is really hard sometimes.
Actually been home since 7pm but it took this long to totally thaw out. I ------- well, I just wasn’t quite ready for standing outside in the cold and wind on concrete smiling for the guests for 5 hours straight. Thank goodness for really good hot chocolate.
