When I was a kid, we had real snow, not this wimpy modern snow.
It’s coming down pretty good here right now (Colorado). It’s supposed to keep up until Monday. Could get three feet in the mountains/foothills. They’ve stopped measuring the snowpack but we (at least the part we get our water from) was a little above average. This should top things off nicely. The parts of the state that really need it aren’t going to get much. That includes the Colorado River drainage. Sorry, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
I’m in SE Wyoming at 7200 ft, and we have been getting walloped for the last two days. It looks like a Christmas card outside. A huge pileup involving 40-60 cars and semis closed I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie.
We barely had any snow all winter, and now this. We do need the moisture though.
Here in Colorado Springs we’ve been getting snow, rain & freezing stuff since yesterday. This morning we’re getting our first thunder & lightning of the season to go along with it. Cat’s hiding under the bed. Lots of sirens everywhere. I’m sure there are traffic accidents galore.
Finally got a good dump of snow last week . snowbird got 42in in 48 hrs. Of course I was in Houston and New Orleans so missed it. Still every little bit for the snow pack helps.
Jeez, quit your griping already. Ohhhh, poor me…I have some snowflakes falling on my head, boo hoo.
How about throwing a little sympathy my way? My day was pure hell. Here in Florida it rained for a couple of minutes and interrupted my morning swim in the toasty warm ocean! Then, I ran low on salt to rim my frozen marguerite glass!! Then my beach masseuse ran out of jasmine-vanilla massage oil and she had to switch to plain vanilla!!!

There is nothing worse than plain vanilla massage oil. You may as well get a massage with a belt sander.
Had fun skiing Friday. Had fun skiing Saturday. It rained Sunday. I’ll take snow over rain any time.

Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind if it were the typical Florida rainstorm (3 minute downpour; sunny sky), but this infernal monsoon lasted over 5 minutes and a darkish cloud actually passed in front of the sun for a minute or two! This is simply not acceptable.
