It's Moanday So Here Is The New MMP

80! chokes on coffee 38 here, high of 47. It was freezing when I took the dogs out. Literally I mean.

Perky in the morning is just wrong. My husband got me a coffee mug for my birthday that says “coffee make brain work gooder”, which should probably be my signature. That or “damn you autocorrect”.

'Beamer is off to school. 'Beamette is stuck in the bathroom, hiding from the inevitable. Hubby is off in CA this week. I did not sleep particularly well last night. It’s hard when he’s gone. I did learn all kinds of neat new sinus massage techniques. I stayed up reading them, since my sinuses seem very clogged.

Happy Toesday.

That’s it!
My tombstone shall bear the inscription:

“Dam your autocorrect.”

“My phone’s otter corrupt is full of shirt.”

Thanks for the exam wishes. It went OK- I’m pretty confident that I didn’t get any questions wrong, but I might have missed out stuff.

The electric company is supposed to be calling back tonight about the stoopit bill. I just checked the online account, and it now says £14.11 in credit, so I have no clue what’s going on there. I haven’t paid anything, and I’m pretty sure I should owe 'em about £30. I wait, again, with interest

Just got interrupted mid post by a very loud, very close helicopter- turned out to be the air ambulance landing just opposite the house, on the school playing field. Got to be one of the close neighbours, because there was a normal ambulance coming out of my cul-de-sac. Hope they’re going to be OK.

I must admit though, it’s a bit reassuring to see; the ‘proper’ hospital is so far away here (there’s a local ‘community’ one just down the road, but it’s reputedly pretty basic)… And if you’re wondering, the helicopter’s run by a charity, free for patients. Not the way I’d choose to get a free helicopter ride, but still good to know the option’s there.

The dentist’s office called and wanted to know if I could come at two thirty this afternoon instead of this mornin’. I said no because I have an eye appointment at three on the other side of town from them. She expressed dismay at this and I politely informed her that one is just as important as the other and that I could come in after the eye appointment. Thus that is what I shall do.

My appointment for the furnace guys was “12-3” and they just showed up at 12:45, so yay! I was fearing it’d be closer to 3.

Meanwhile, I’ve lunched, boiled some eggs, loaded the dishwasher, and pulled out the fixin’s for punkin pie. I’ll start baking when they leave.

Gotta call the vet’s office about the cats’ shot records, and if I’ve got time, I’ll run to the senior center in Charlotte Hall and give them my excess knitting stuff. Wonder if there’s a thrift shop in Charlotte Hall where I can drop of some donations. Off to surf up the answer.

Tell me that boiled eggs have nothing to do with pumpkin pie.
Please.

What in my post suggests that one has to do with the other?

They’ve been down there over half an hour. Why do I have a sickening feeling about this??

But all dentist appointments should be made for two thirty.

It’s the boiled eggs.

I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but one doesn’t make pie with boiled eggs. You’re a very strange man.

Pies are in the oven and stuff has been donated to the thrift store. No luck at the senior center - I’ll try again another time.

Guess I should call the vet’s office.

Well, but she said punkin pie. Anything goes when it comes to punkin pie.

Touché.

Oh, the horror!

Back from CT scan. There was no contrast. I read the orders wrong. Anyway, was a two hour trip each way and the scan took all of ten minutes if that. I waited about 20 minutes for a disc to take to the Dr. on Firday.

Great grand baby was born this am via C section. She is 19 inches long and a little over 6 1/2 pounds. She is a week earlier than the original due date. Cute little thing. Her name is Alayna Claire.

We finished off the turkey and dressing and I am making spaghetti tonight.

Carry on.

Yay!

Pizza Hotline will be bringing supper. Yay!

Dental and eye appointments have been completed. I have a follow-up with the dentist in two weeks. The eye doc confirmed my suspicion that I was ready for the next level of Olde Fartedom. I am gettin’ bifocals. I already knew my near vision is worse than my far vision. He confirmed that fact today. We have consumed Mexican comestibles and I have some Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food Ice Cream to console myself over the bifocals. OK, cause I wanted some. OYKW has some B & J Chunky Monkey to console himself for whatever reason he needs to be consoled. OK, cause he wanted some.

Nuts HAR!

Butters congrats on hubby’s new great grand baby!

I don’t care what one puts into a punkin pie, I ain’t eatin’ it cause I don’t like punkin.

Did you get your furnace fixed moooooommmmm ?

Swampy did you get a good report from dentist?

Sweet potato pah OK? Folks in Jawja usually loves them some sweet potato pah.

Much erranding, uneventful doc checkup, late pleasant lunch on a lovely day and walk into the building to a crisis involving a roof leak, upset contractors, upset unit owners, and upset board members.

2 hours later calm has mostly been restored. Not entirely by my doings. But gosh did that burn out my last hunk of energy. 5am was long, long ago.

Time for dinner: probably reheat turkey & stuffing w fresh veg.
