I love the British pound and wouldn’t have it any other way. I do miss the franc and the mark, but not enough to really care.

Tired and allergic - not sure what has just started blooming, but it’s driving me nuts. It’s back to industrial-strength antihistamines tomorrow.

rigs, you crack me right the hell up. You sound like me! I informed the one of our friends quite forcefully, that since I am the Queen of All She Surveys he is not riding shotgun in my rig. I also told him that if he didn’t shut the hell up about it, I was going to tie his ass to the roof rack and have him ride the whole 35 miles on the rack. My rig, I’m riding in front. Besides, I get slightly car sick when I sit in the back. Stupid, but there it is.
Also, hubby put the kibosh on anyone telling US what time we’re leaving. He told them, he didn’t want to sound like a dick, but the fact of the matter is, we’re leaving when WE’RE ready, not a moment sooner, not a moment later.
To be fair, one set of our friends were on the same page as us. They didn’t want to be leaving early either and expressed their opinion in a spate of emails. Now, if those who are worried about their dogs want to get home early, it’s up to them to find their own transportation; otherwise, they can ride with us and leave with us. Period. End of story.

GT got the right destination - and gender too. But that’s OK RIGS; I’m generally agreeable. 
I had a great time there last year although I did have to resist a great deal on a pack of werewolves and a zombie hoard. Sort of a “blue plate special combined deal” sort of thing. The banquet and general theme last year was Pirates (we were up to our asses in Captain Jack Sparrows) but this year its ZOMBIES!!! And I LOVE zombies. I don’t care if we’re talking Bela “White Zombies”, Rob Zombie “White Zombies” or Romero type zombies. What can I say? I’ve been married for 34 years; the undead are something I’ve come to terms with.

Yay! I’ve finished the last project for my independent study class. I’m going to show it to the teacher tomorrow, get his input, and fix whatever he says. Then I just have to do the final presentation for him of everything I’ve done. Then I’ll be done with TWO classes! Hurray!
Considering that Photoshop is not my strongest program, I think it turned out really well. It’s not perfect - some of the perspective (my eternal enemy) is wonky from combining multiple photos, but it’s pretty awesome.
I still have to draw five cards and finish my flash site though. I’m planning on finishing the cards tomorrow and Friday and then I have all next week to do flash.

I have come into irk for a couple of hours then I am disappearing again. 'im indoors rang last night to tell me that the funeral is at 9am on Friday morning. So this afternoon I have to get a train up to Scotland. Before that, I need to make sure there’s enough food in the house for the moglings, drop a set of keys at a friend’s house so she can feed them until I get back, ring my mother and cancel Sunday’s visit, pack stuff and then get to the station.
I think I should have started yesterday. I’m not sure when I’ll be back anywhere near a 'pooter, might be tomorrow or it might be Monday or Tuesday. There’s engineering works on the rail lines over the weekend so travelling back would be impossible, and I don’t really fancy the long drive there and back on my own.
