it's snowing in Boston

It’s April 12 and it’s snowing in Boston. WTF?

There just might be something to that greenhouse whaddayacallit after all.

It was snowing in Newburyport until a little while ago…

It was snowing for a bit in Yorkshire last week. Liverpool too, aparently.
(I was in Aintree coincidentally on National day)

We had a torrential downpour here in San Diego recently. It was around the time the Chargers were having their playoff game. I heard on the radio that this was a result of global warming shifting some sort of weather pattern southward such that, some time in the future, San Diego will have a wet, miserable clime and Seattle will become a sunny paradise.

I’m afraid to point and laugh, because then we’d get hit over here in NE Ohio with that stupid tax-day snow.
But it was only mid 50s and cloudy today. Well, cloudy in the afternoon. Mostly.

I know someone who’s running in the marathon next Monday. I’m kinda hoping it snows. Hey, it was 85 degrees last year, so the average would be just about perfect.

Hello, missbunny.

Had some snow this morning- quite a bit, actually- but it didn’t stick.

As I understand it, though, it’s been known to snow here on July 4th, so it’s not that big a deal.

Heck, we had a fine storm in Boston on May 9 back in the late 70’s. I love it, but I was skiing this past weekend.

My wife is at a business meeting in Boston. She just called to say it is snowing. She’s pretty ticked off about it. It is sunny and warm here in San Diego.

I was driving home from Salem, NH and it started. WTF? So sick of snow…

Well, send some of it our way. All snow gratefully received. We’re well into autumn here and it still hasn’t cooled down.

I would kill for some more snow, this winter was so weak :frowning:

That said, it was back down to a rather more pleasant 55 today, which made me happy!

Pepper Mill called her sister i Florida (who’s been going through some rough times) to tell her it was snowing here north of Boston. A little gift of schadenfreude.
Several years ago, when I was in Rochester N.Y. one of my professors (who hailed from England) had to call off a conference because of snow. “In April!” he complained. Shortly thereafter he went back to England.

Kill me now.

That is all.

But it’s been beautiful, cool, sunny, and perfect here in Toronto…

SPRING!!!

points and laughs HaHa! You have to live in Baltimore. In the summer. Have fun!

Geez, I don’t remember that one. Must be the age getting to me.

Hello to you too, Robot Arm!

I called my mom during the squall - she lives 2 hours south, in CT - and she said it was 54 and bright sunshine. It was 35 here. I do not like snow when my flowers are blooming outside.

Actually, I’m probably going to be home in the quiet corner of Connecticut for about six weeks between July and August… blessings of being a student, and all that. Not that it’s THAT much cooler in New England, but at least the beaches are closer. Thanks, though

I can’t take any more! I looked outside and saw BIG fluffy flakes, like it’s January. I swear I must be losing my mind. Cabin fever has taken on new meaning. I’m planning on going kayaking soon and I’m going to have to wear woolen mittens and hat, etc. help!
