It's snowing outside. It's the middle of October, and it's snowing.

I just looked outside.

It’s snowing.

It’s snowing, and I hate it.

Will someone please pack me up a “big box of warm” and send it up here (palm trees and sunshine optional).

Thanks.

I’ll send some Molson or something back to you. I promise.

Tripler
Yes, I meant ‘a big box of warm’.

Woohoo! Snowing! In October!
Oh. Sorry.

Lovely and sunny in London today, thanks for askin’. Hooraay for global warming!

Gosh, I’d love to want to help you, but I’m too busy enjoying the sunshine and 70 degree temperature here. :stuck_out_tongue:

How about sunny, blue skies, mid 70s - that’s what’s outside here today. I have all my windows open and my A/C hasn’t been on for 2 whole days in a row now!

I’ll even toss in some warm thoughts and warm wishes, and 2 warm puppies!! No, really, I insist!

Warm Weather Baaaastahds

Snowed a bit here too.

I, er, should quit thinking about how cold I am when it was 54 degrees outside at noon then, I suppose.

But it certainly was a lovely day apart from that - and having my windows open at night makes for such good sleeping weather.

Acutally, that sounds about right for North Dakota (I assume you’re still up there Tripler?)… when I was born (mumble-mumble) years ago, in North Dakota, the first snowfall of the year took place. And yup, it was mid-October.

Time to bring out those fleece-lined jeans again, eh?

<< Wheeeeee… >>

Sorry I tried to send the snow farther east to the dopefest this weekend but I kinda missed…and good news for ya Trip, it has stopped here and the sun is trying to poke through the clouds…

You are still right. And it looks like I’ll be here for another freakin’ winter. Get me the hell out of here, or make June come faster.

Tripler
It’s still snowing.

Wait. You’re in the flippin’ Dakotas? Jeez, man; it’s October. Of course it’s going to snow. I don’t think Oct. 18th is particularly early for the white stuff to be coming down up there.

I grew up in Montana, and I can count on one hand the years we didn’t have snow on Halloween. It didn’t matter how hard we worked on our costumes, because we all looked like miniature ski instructors, treat-or-treating in full cold-weather gear. It’s hard to feel like a beautiful fairy princess with your parka (zipped up, of course). Ah, memories.

Anyhoo, I guess I’d be all sympathetic if it was September, but since it’s nearing the end of October and you’re in No. Dak, I’ll just say – sucks to be you!

By the way, Seattle was 70 and sunny today.

When I left school today, there was a fine layer of slush on stuff.

Dammit.

  1. Go buy rum runner ingredients.
  2. Turn your heat up.
  3. Turn on all your lights.
  4. Put on shorts.
  5. Put Jimmy Buffet on the CD player.
  6. Mix up a rum runner.
  7. Keep drinking.
  8. Now you’re too drunk to care there’s snow on the ground.

[sub]We got about 2" today, too, but it didn’t stick. Well, except for on top of my car. I really hate scraping off my windshield.[/sub]

It snowed here today, as well. Being in Saskatchewan, I guess I should count myself lucky we got through September without being blanketed.

Strange how I seem to sleep through my alarm on the day of the year’s first big snowfall. That’s two years running now.

Actually, can you guys with snow send some down South? (Mid-South, to be more precise.) I’d like a few more vacation days, and since they shut down everything at the mere hint of snow… (And I wanna make snow cream!)

As anxious as I am to make obscene snow-sculptures, I wasn’t too happy when I found out that it snowed a bit in my area (central illinois) today. It’s fairly uncommon round these parts, but still not surprising. I really should stop wearing speedos.

I say bring on the snow, had lots of big sized snow flakes falling down today here. None stuck though, I would like to get past Halloween for the kids before it snows and sticks. But after that… VROOOOOOMMMMM goes the snowmobile!

I wish it would snow up here in Canada, so I could complain, too.

This is, of course, a cue for all the Canadians in cold areas to chime in and shout at me for living in wimpy Toronto. Do I get points for planning my honeymoon in Ottawa in January?
