I’m sure many of you have already seen it. For those of us who haven’t, I provide the link and one part (even though the damn thing is everywhere already, I know how the Reader is.)
[Sung to the tune of “If You’re Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands”]
I say this is someone who thinks Bush is poor material for POTUS:
The cutsie little e-propaganda, while occasionally amusing, is much more often just the spark that sets off another rousing round of partisan posturing. Can we maybe give it up for the new year, or possibly just let people find it on their own?
Oh, come on, you grumps. Cant you laugh a little at your own expense?
I like Bush, and I still think the song is amusing. Stoid, thanks for posting it…although I think MPSIMS would have been a better place for it than the Pit.
And before you jump all over me, yes I have a sense of humor about these things, but since I live in Santa Cruz I see them every damn day and they get repetitive after the first fifty-eight times or so.
Since I became an Honarary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council today, at the invitation of ** Tom Delay ** , I figure I can poke. After all, they are going to be asking for my input, and inviting me to political strategy meetings with top Republican Leaders [sic]. I’m told I may even be invited to dinner with Bush!
Cool Beans!!
(Of course, when they notice my profound lack of financial support, the invitations may slow to a trickle and then disappear altogether, but until then, I’m gonna input and interface my little heart out! )
(Sung to the tune of “Ed Sullivan”)
The Republicans!
The Republicans!
I’m gonna hang with the Republicans!
How could a Democrat be
Half as fortunate as me?
I’m gonna hang with the Republicans!
The worst of it is, its so out of date, not really up with current Republican thought. Clearly, bombing Iraq will not reverse the downslide of the economy, bring peace and justice to the world, and generally bring goodness and light to an anguished world, and cure scurvy.
As ever, ** Boris** is correct. (Now that I’m an insider to Republican strategy and “policy”, I’m the one to come to for clarity about these things.)
As my new good friend ** Tom Delay ** reminded me in his phone call to me this morning, the most important thing facing the nation is the need for more tax cuts.
His assistant went on to explain that my help would be needed as the incoming congress tackles the big issues coming up: More tax cuts for business, permanent ban on the Death Tax, and of course, that old standby, reduction in the capital gains tax.
What - two years ago, people were making up songs about Bush’s plans to bomb Iraq?
Why am I always the last one to pick up on a trend?
Seriously, here we’ve got a President who’s found tax cuts to be the answer, regardless of the economic question; ditto invading Iraq, regardless of the foreign-policy question.
If that isn’t getting old, I don’t know what is. And it would be pathetic, if he wasn’t President, with a Republican Congress that shares his worldview.
