The Republicans won! Nener NENER neneener

The Republicans won. WooHOO!

I know I am going to get flamed for this so I put it in the PIT.

I consider myself an independant but I agree with the Pubbies when it comes to lower taxes and smaller government. (Though the stance of the Pubbies doesn’t always mean that they do what they promise) The Dems, on the other hand, are always trying to take my money and growing the government. So, Fuck Off you Dem bastards! (I am refering to the Dems running for office, not the Doper Dems) You LOST! You won’t find it easy to pick my pocket now.

Slee::wondering how badly I am going to be flamed::

Oh, please. You still believe that lie? How do you think Republicans will pay for their thought police and border thugs? Next time you get paid, take a look at your pay stub and ask yourself whether a Republican Senator and his staff costs less than a Democrat one.

Lib,

Guess who passed the last tax cut? Guess who wants to keep the tax cut? Yep, it’s Bush and the GOP for the most part. Guess who wants to raise taxes? Yep, it’s the Dem’s.

Lib, I looked at my last pay stub and taxes were lower due to Bush and the Pubbies cutting the tax.

Get your facts straight before you post please.

Maryland dodged a big bullet last night. A big Kennedy-Townsend bullet. Now if we can keep this Republican governor from taking kickbacks like the last one (a certain Mr. Agnew), we’ll do well.

Sleestak:

Bush’s massive tax give away to the rich is what caused the robust Clinton economy to go right into the tank.

I wouldn’t brag about it if I were you. It was a disaster for America.

Diog, come back when you’ve taken an economics class.
I get an Inter-County Connector! Woot! Go, Ehrlich!

Rubbing it in at your moment of victory is bad form.

San Dimas High School Football RULES!

Tell me we wouldn’t have the rabid liberals doing the same thing ten fold were the tables turned? Please.

I don’t think we should really stick the noses in, as we are above that. However, a little jab should remind the libs that believe it or not, we actually DO have passion about politics, and that we DO care about the country.

If you truly cared about the country, you’d vote in the best candidate, not the best political party.

Enderw24:

Best political party…HAHAHAHahahahahaha…

That’s a good one.

I don’t think you should be basing your actions on what rabid liberals would be doing.

Wow, Libertarian quoting Malcom X. I’m impressed.

Excellent! Party on!

I think it’s funny that the Democratic party went out of their way to lose the Maryland governor. Seriously. Let’s go down the checklist:

  1. Pick the candidate no one really wanted by forcing the more popular candidates to not run. Check.

  2. Have said candidate choose a running mate that brought in no political base, is a Republican and is completely unknown in an attempt to gain votes in southern Maryland which is not going to vote for you if you brought in Ronald Reagan as a running mate. Check.

  3. Take the urban black voters for granted and make no effort to appeal to them or to get them to go vote. Check.

  4. Ads? What ads? Get completely and utterly out-campaigned by your opponent. Check.

It’s like a strategy guide on how to most effectively squander a sure thing. Thank God I live in Virginia. Of course, the Dems didn’t even oppose Warner for Senator. Bah.

What? According to all of the ads I heard over and over and over again on WTOP, the Democrats had a very serious candidate against Warner.

Of course, she was a LaRouche Democrat, but still. If you can’t accuse Bush of being the racist master of the Illuminati, what’s the point of even running?

Who wants to lower my taxes? As near as I can tell, no one. I paid the same amount in taxes (roughly) before and after the big “tax cut.” See, I don’t have millions and millions of dollars in income and am not a multi-national corporation, so I don’t seem to matter.

Who wants to keep the tax cuts? As near as I can tell, everyone. No one’s made much of a move to repeal the enormous gifts given to the wealthy, despite going from a surplus to a deficit in two years.

And may I just say, referring to the defeat of someone who lost her father and her uncle to assassination as “dodging a bullet” is incredibly tacky.

What? You’re taking home more money now than you were before the cut? I don’t believe that, and I think you just made it up so you didn’t have to acknowledge that Lib was right and you were wrong.

Get your own facts straight, Sparky. Or, to quote your namesake species:

SSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssss.

Minnesota, WHOOT!!! (a repeat post but should have been put here in the first place)

Not only for Coleman, but the Republican candidate not only won the Governors office but won it with umpf!!

Until recently, the question was not were taxes going to go up or not but whether they were going to go up hugely or gigantically. They were talking gas tax, property tax, income tax, tax tax tax tax more tax increase tax tax this tax that increase tax taxtaxtax taxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtaxtax

and more tax.

Then Pawlenty wins handily with his platform of NO NEW TAXES!

Thank the heavens there are actually people that think similarly with me on this. I was beginning to wonder.
