But there is ONE piece of good news that could come out of this election. Hopefully we won’t have a new President by January 20th, and the Libertarian dream will finally come true: the Federal government will shut down as Strom Thurmond’s advisors try to figure out where to dispose of his colostomy bags in the White House garbage! Let’s see-Nader’s name is mud as far as the Democratic Party is concerned, eliminating any support there he might have had. He didn’t get enough votes for his precious matching funds. It looks like Bush is going to be in the White House, giving the Republican Congress free reign to eliminate those protections both he and the Democrats have fought so hard for.
I’m sure you will go to bed tonight secure in the thought that you “did the right thing and voted your conscience”. It’s just too bad your conscience is too small to include the rest of the us.

is precisely then wrong way to go about it. If Nader’s party is dead in the water, with no matching funds and not one viable candidate on any level, it’s his fault entirely. The Democrats have no reason to trust him now, and some of his own supporters who asked him, after it was apparent that he didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of even getting the matching funds he so treasured, to do the right thing and support the party that would most further his and his supporter’s goals, have left in disgust.

Actually, I agree that you didn’t. I believe you only waste your vote if you don’t exercise your right to vote for who you want. And realistically, if a Libertarian President was elected, how much would he get done with a Congress full of Democrats and Republicans? I just wanted you all to know that I’m still laughing about this one. theuglytruth, tell me: do you honestly believe this? Do you really think that the Administration of a message board with 11,000 members (of wich 1,500 or so active on a daily basis), with all consequent traffic problems that occur already, care about useless threads like these that supposedly increase traffic?
