Ooh, I’m so sorry you missed us. I had sent out PMs with my contact info and stuff beforehand, and there were no finalized plans beyond Silver Seafood. I assumed that everyone who planned on coming would reply in the thread or via PM. Sorry that we didn’t get to meet you! There’s always the next Dopefest.

Mr. Rosewater, and anyone else who may have gone to the Green Mill, I’m so sorry. We thought everyone was accounted for so we did change plans.
Anyway, for everyone who was there, I really had a lovely time. Let’s do a group get together again soon!
I had a nice time, too–but I still am not sure of everyone’s names. I am terrible with names (and we all have at least 2 here). Enfant–you did not “look bad” at all.
The trip home was a breeze–but then how many people are leaving the city at 830 at night?
I wasn’t sure that I was going to come until the last minute, so don’t feel bad.

Where are the pictures?
As one of only two people there with a camera, I think I have to say, “Go ask the other guy!”
There’s been a strange connection issue with my camera, and I can’t get it to talk to the computer. I’ll figure it out in a couple of weeks when my boyfriend comes to visit, but by then we’ll all have forgotten about this event.
Plus, he got all the yummy food photos.

And between now and then, is anybody up for thrift stores? I’m really big on cheap stuff and have a car, and I remember the thrift stores in Chicago being amazing. When I’m a little less busy, I’d be psyched to go shopping and post pictures of our wacky finds.
Just got home from a very long day of volleyball at UIC folllowed by running errands then a laid back party at a friends house only to walk out to another damn blizzard, took me 45 minutes for what is normally a 15 minute drive.

Millit the Frail, now that WhyNot can visualize both of our faces, perhaps we can make big, cute, pleading eyes at her to convince her to take us on her next thrifting adventure. However, I suggest that we wait until after her trip out of town. She’ll probably be more susceptible then. Hopefully she didn’t read the rest of this post, like I told her not to do. If she’s not susceptible to pleading eyes, we’ll have to figure something else out.
Thanks for the offer, MikeG, but it’s not the camera that’s the problem, it’s the computer. I know how it supposed work, but it’s not. A couple of weeks isn’t too long to wait to get some help and make sure not to screw up either. I’m looking forward to seeing your photos, though!
Oh, I go thrift store shopping all the time. Mostly in Wicker Park. We should totally have a get-together!

It was good to either meet or see everyone again. If anyone ever wants to venture out to the wilds of the Western Suburbs, I (and I would imagine Bus Guy) can show you a time of some kind - possibly good. I’ll talk and everything.
