And the software I’m using is Sony’s ‘Picture Motion Browser’
And not that it’s relevant, but this couldn’t see the videos at all until I uninstalled the k-lite codec pack ( a free collection of codecs)
Ironically media player could play the HD vids while the k-lite stuff was installed, but not once I uninstalled it. It’s like PMB wants a monopoly on being able to show the vids.
Part of me wants to do something constructive with owning a vid-camera. I don’t think I’d ever become a youtube blogger because I hate how I look and sound on camera/audio. Perhaps just endless cat videos.
eta: I envy people like sxephil (Philip Defranco) and Amazing Atheist for being able to mouth-off on camera with what seems like no self-consciousness whatsoever.
Cool pics, Bumbershoot. That thing on your left hand looks like what NFL refs keep track of downs with. Do you mind me inquiring what its purpose is in skydiving?
It’s an altimeter, to tell me how high above the ground I am. Comes in handy when deciding if it’s time to open my parachute- as long as I remember to look at it!
Interlacing becomes more apparent after you convert the video, depending on how you’re converting it. If you’re compressing it more, it almost certainly becomes more apparent.
In some software, there’s a de-interlacing tool. Sony Vegas, for instance - you just right-click a track, and select De-interlace (or Remove Interlace, or whatever they call it) - it works pretty well.
I just knew that posting my picture would be the un-doing of years building a right and proper “mean” reputation. Ah well, what is done is done… who wants tea?
Wait… the first part, a very nice compliment - thanks! The second part… Um… okay, not what I was hoping for but you know… I’ll take what I can get. So you want to go two blocks east on Broad Street then turn left onto 3rd. Why don’t we go back to my place so I can print out directions for you from Google Maps? (Yeah, I’m just that smooth!)
Eh, the only new one is me with my Shield&Banner after last night’s Flogging Molly concert in Oslo. I look like hell because I’ve just spent two and a half hours in the most intense mosh pit, ever.
Still, I made it off with the signed drum cover, the stage flag and two guitar picks as well as a new top-ten live band - the Street Dogs. Awesome night! (And I didn’t even break any bones!)
Please don’t take this the wrong way but you look WAY younger than I expected you to. Or maybe I’m confusing you with glee who I know for a fact is older…
