So much for supper plans. **FCD **didn’t want to eat, so I made myself a sammich. Off to knit for a while. The fish aren’t sexing it up right now, but **FCD **is standing by the tank, so they think it’s time to eat. Fish operate on a very basic level…
Earlyish dindin was teh nummy! I have made a heathenish decision. It is pourin’ rain out and I have no desire to leave da cave so no Evenin’ Prayer tonight at the church house.
Maybe I’ll do some laundry instead. Laundry sounds penitent right?
Penance has begun.
If you need to repent some more, let me know - I could get the guest room bedding to you…
I doubt it’d fit through the cup holder thingy.
the Doc says my constant tired is because of pervasive inflammation, which means I’ll have to cope. So she gave me a shot of B12 and I’m starting to feel less fatigued; we shall see how I get through my long Thursday.
Hey guys. Busy week. It’s finally cooled down!
I’ll go back and read in a bit. HOmemade chicken pot pie with biscuit topping. I shouldn’t have the second helping. Blurg.
In spite of taking a long nap 2 hours after I woke up I still managed to finish my latest batch of magnets for my dog trainer. I also watched the snow white with Sigourney Weaver and it was really good, as was the documentary on H.H. Holmes. Now I need something to entertain meself until Sweetie comes home.
Picked up the lawn mower from Sears.
They wanted me to pay another $5 for not fixing it in addition to the $35 I was already quoted and paid. I cussed them and explained I had to speak with someone in another country whom I could not make understand that all I wanted was the pull start I broke fixed, not $300 of everything they could think of. I cussed somemore and pushed it out, expecting Security to rush out to the car and beat the five bucks out of me.
I’ll take it to the local guys as I should have to start with.
See this? $64.99 flat rate.
I’m about to cuss again…
flytrap I might buy a mower from Sears but they will never, never, ever repair one for me. The one time I did they didn’t fix the problem. I took it back and had naughty words as well and got a refund.
Rosie I know a couple of people who say the B12 shots do help with fatigue. Hope it works for ya.
Soapy it’s chicken and veggies. All healthy. Go ahead have that second helpin’.
Three loads of penance have been washed, dried, folded and put away. I feel all cleansed and holy now.
And on that note, I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy bye time which won’t be long.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Dunno. What do you think we’ve done?
I could also contribute additional laundry.
tugig, meant to comment earlier: I was really envious of evyone in the D.C. area because of the flyover. I watched the NASA video for a bit. I imagine the RL version was amazing.
Home after long day. Getting close to being ready for our big implementation next week. FINALLY.
Hugs all.

My grandparents ate a whole pan of brownies, something like an 8x10 or 8x12 sized pan in the last 22 hours.
I need a vacation.
B12 works when the cause of the fatigue is a metabolic problem, because it facilitates burning of blood sugar. If you’re fatigued because you just shoveled 15 tons of coal, you’re SOL.
When I could play almost paramedic, we carried it to inject alcoholic diabetics before administering D50, which is IV sugar. Lack of B12 in the system would result in the D50 making the brain swell, sometimes fatally. This is the same reason the concentration camp liberators could not immediately feed the inmates.
Y’all are makin’ suggestive jokes about aquatic sex, and I’m quotingJazz lyrics.
I want a vacation and a brownie.
Yesterday, I took my puppy to the vet to get her booster shots. Along with the standard distemper, hepatitis, something, something that also had something for lepto - a bacterial infection picked up from local wildlife. Well, poor puppy had an awful reaction - shivering all over, unwilling to eat or drink, and completely lethargic. She must have been achy, because she didn’t want to sit on anybody’s lap or cuddle at all.
We gave her part of a baby aspirin, which helped, but by five a.m. today, she was throwing up. So, I ran her back into the vet, who gave her subcutaneous fluids. She was still rotten most of the day, but finally started feeling better late this afternoon.
And yet, as luck would have it, I talked to a lady with a little information. Lepto is far more likely to cause a bad reaction than the other vaccines, manufacturers expect to get reports of bad reactions, and they often reimburse the cost of treatment for bad reactions. Hmmmm. Synchronicity is an interesting thing, no?
Good morning! I’ve got whomp cinnamon biscuits in the oven for breakfast, because I deserve 'em!
flytrap, I’m a big believer in local businesses, and for mower repair, we’re lucky to have some really good Amish shops nearby. I also take my cars to a local shop rather than dealers and I couldn’t be happier. Of course, it could just be that I’ve gotten lucky…
Today’s supposed to be nice. **FCD **has already asked me to do the push mowing out front - my most hated chore!!! But I will because the ditch looks awful. I’ll also do some transplanting, but I’ll leave the riding mower till tomorrow - it’ll give the yard more of a chance to dry out.
I’ve also got to clean the grill since I’ve decided we’re having burgers for supper - over charcoal! No gas grill for me - charcoal is a better flavor-inducer.
I see exhaustion in my future. Happy Thursday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 65 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 82 for the day. I know y’all can’t go on each day until you’ve heard the local southwest Jawja weather forecast.
kanga awwwwww poor puppy! Hope she’s feelin’ better today.
MOOOOOOM we need to synchronize better. Burger day at da cave is tomorrow.
Ok, I need more caffiene and brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Six minutes to go until eat o’clock… my stomach is making revving-up noises.
I’m not pinin’ for the fjords, just busy.
Morning!
Had a fun evening last night- went to a hooping meet for the first time in aaages, because I’m finally allowed and able to play again (not even creaky this morning like I was expectin’), then went back to a friend’s house to watch another friend’s wedding, which was being streamed live from an Elvis chapel in Vegas. Smoke machine, bridesmaid on rollerskates 'n all
Was a Not So Good morning though, got a letter from the council saying my allotment is overgrown, and I need to get it fixed, which is really annoying, because they operate on a 3-strikes rule (this would be strike 2) but there’s supposed to be an exception for illness, and they’d told me that I wouldn’t be getting an inspection this spring because I told them I’d just had back surgery and wasn’t able to do anything down there. I think they’ve taken the notice off the system, after I phoned and got upset at them, but I shouldn’t have had it in the first place, so I’m hardly confident in that. It’s barely overgrown at all anyway, just the grassy bit needs a cut. It’s way better than the neighbours’, and they’ve had it like that for years…
Also had to take my car in today for its MOT- the annual roadworthiness check, please wish me happy car vibes, so it gets through OK, I really can’t afford it to have much wrong! (If there’s nothing wrong, that will indeed be a miracle, given that it’s 16 years old, but I can afford the odd bald tyre or so).
I also need to go pay for the next pottery course today, as it starts tonight. I can pick up the stuff I made last term as well then; it’s been locked in the room 'cos there’s no classes over Easter. Expensive day!
Happy thursday!
