Hoping you can help me out in this difficult situation. I’ve just met the most amazing woman and plan on spending the rest of my life with her. I know, it’s like a dream come true right? But wait…
I took her home to meet my current wife, and told the current wife to show her around the place, and how everything works, basically show her the ropes so that she can get comfortable as soon as possible.
But get this… the current wife seems to have some kind of objection to doing this small favor for me. WTF? 
I dont get it? Part of her job, as my wife, is to make things easier for me, but she’s totally not helping. :smack:

Well, olives, I must say that I wouldn’t have expected this of you. Whenever people said this kind of thing about me in the Paterno thread, I marked it up either to deliberate dishonesty or mindless hysteria. Given that I don’t regard you as being dishonest or hysterical, could you please explain to me why my arguing that IMO a child rape likely did not occur on one particular occasion = justification of child rape? And since you said you agree with Kimstu, could you also explain why my trying to assess the facts objectively rather than jumping to conclusions the facts don’t necessarily support is an offense equal to racism?
As I explained toward the end of the Paterno thread I’ve decided to stop arguing on this board and it isn’t my intention to start a new argument here. Instead I would just like to ask you to stop and think about the stance I’ve taken on this issue, and why (i.e., due process and a fervent belief that people should only be convicted of crimes they can be proven to have committed, no matter how many similar crimes they may be guilty of), and then ask yourself whether you really regard the taking of a cold, hard look at whether an alleged crime has actually occurred is really tantamount to a justification of the crime itself.
Well, I’m sorry that the “Go to your room, and think about what you’ve done” therapy didn’t work.
Give it a rest. Many of us are still in recovery from that thread.
