Bumped this in case you’d missed Miller’s all-encompassing takedown of DrDeth. Best of all, it was after the latter had threadshat multiple times (asking why anyone would start a thread in the Pit because it’s so mean, and then proving his point by trying to browbeat the OP into reporting his own posts so the thread can be moved).
Late to the party and hopelessly outgunned, but:

You know, I had to read it twice. My point was that the PIT is worthless as anyone can & does hijack any thread by a out of context petty personal attack- and then of course **Miller **proved my right by hijacking that thread by a out of context petty personal attack. But for a minute there,I thought Miller was going meta-Ironic by dissing his own forum… but then I decided Miller wasnt that smart.
However, maybe I am wrong- maybe Miller was being subtle and deliciously ironic. If so Kudos to him.

I’ve actually seen some really good debates break out in the Pit. And I mean really good–well thought out, sincere, and full-throated. With insults.
It happens, in general, that the only people who complain about insults in the Pit are those who are incapable of arguing in any forum. Not always, mind you, but mostly.
The aesthetics alone put you to shame.

I, on the other hand, think he’s a pea-brained troll with nothing better to do than post exhausting treatises on subjects about which he knows less than nothing. Someday he’ll actually talk to a woman and might gain some understanding of the opposite sex that isn’t gleaned from MRA feeds on Tumblr. Given his intellectual gigantism, I am certain that his knowledge of economics is equally as vast, which is to say so small electron microscopes are required to find it. Since he can’t be bothered to actually debate anything with anyone, for all I know he’s an AI experiment run amuck. Candidly, any robot you meet is likely to have more personality, and wit to boot.
