Why would you not expect people to think you wrote it? The headline, that YOU added and that was about the only thing not lifted from the Onion piece, is “I have seen the future”. I can’t see any other way to interpret that than as a claim that the rest is YOUR vision of the future.

Dude, when you post something under your own moniker, you’re taking credit for it, whether you think so or not. All that was needed was a byline that stated the source. cmyk, there was no byline to add. As I said way upthread (which most of the posters here seem to have missed in their childish rage – even I can laugh at Republicans and myself), I got it by email and posted it exactly as I got it.
I guess I am rather flattered that so many of you thought I was capable of coming up with something like that on my own until you found out about the Onion parody, still the difference between it and anything else I’ve ever posted here would also have given me reason to think no one would assume I wrote it.
Anyway, chill, you guys. I was in a playful and humorous mood last night and actually believed some of you might find it amusing, in a laugh at yourselves kind of way.

I think people are coming down a little too hard on Starving Artist. He should have explained where he got the OP, but on a scale of transgressions that’s not enough to really stir my ire. Insulting his sister is out of line.
