Also, hoping that you will step back and realize that you exhibits the same behavior you castigate others for. And stop with the huge font bullshit, too. It doesn’t add to your point and is irritating as hell.
No larger point to debate here–the Pit is not getting harsher, people are not being extra mean this week, stupid bitch got what was coming to her and now it should be dropped.
I have generally enjoyed your posts in the past, but this is getting to be too much. The train wreck happened. It was over and done with. There was no need for this thread to bring it all back up. But, I am beginning to get the impression that nothing can happen on this board without you creating a follow up thread that screams “Look at me! I’m still here! I know you all lost focus for a few minutes and fought about them - but come on - turn your attention back to me!”

You know, I have no problem with arguing, disagreement or discussion. I’ve been a Pitizen for as long as I’ve been here, and I’m not usually very controversial, but I’m no shrinking violet, either. What really bugs me is people who come in after the discussion has moved on (complete with resolutions, people agreeing to disagree and people backing down) and still feel the need to shit on the object of the pile-on. I don’t get that.

BTW, I think Auto is funny as fuck. Everytime someone mentions sticking something up their own, or someone else’s, ass I think of a joke that involves him.
I just spent fifteen minutes composing a post about how fucking disgusting this supposedly enlighted, tolerant, liberal board can be at time (ref Brightpenny and now RSSchen) only to have it lost when I tried to post it in the thread which was locked while I was composing it. People I don’t recall having ever even seen around here were flocking in droves to take their bite out of her, and the whole episode was fucking disgusting. Almost everyone was in agreement that she had emotional/psychological issues and yet they continued to berate her for not behaving as thought she didn’t. Fucking disgusting…especially coming from a group that likes to hold itself out as being so enlighted, tolerant and open-minded.
And luci…no, I couldn’t. When the board’s behavior flies directly in the face of the board’s alleged philosophies, it seems to me to be the most germane point of all.
And Giraffe, I know they are. I learned that lesson decades ago, and yet for some reason I’m still surprised when people who hold themselves out to be superior to certain types of behavior so eagerly engage in it themselves.
