Well, frankly, her opinon is just as valid – and carries just as much weight – as anyone else’s, and the snippet you supplied of her comment does include “IMHO”. She isn’t making declarative statements of fact; she’s giving an opinion…and one which I happen to agree with in this instance.
And another thing (I can’t believe I’m defending Quiddity, of all people. I hope she’ll forgive me 
), what is this meme of her wanting only sunshine and light in the Pit. Why, I, myself, have been the target of some rather pointed barbs fired from her direction. I think the problem she has is the same one I have, namely, when things become both personal and cruel, things have gone too far.
And don’t forget that nastiness in the Pit according to Miz Quiddity Glomfuster is predicated on how much she likes the participants. Just like that narsty old schoolmarm, she plays favorites. Really, her incessant but arbitrary (designed to reflect maximum righteousness on herself) scolding and clucking at people who she doesn’t like, while excusing the hijinks of those she does, all under the guise of making the Pit a kinder, gentler place is just… hilarious. Annoying, but hilarious.
