Similar deal with my husband and me. I’m about as liberal as they come, while my husband is extemely conservative (he gets all his news from Fox and his opinions from Bill O’Reilly). I think he’s a nut job, and he thinks I’m a liberal (“liberal” being the absolute worst thing he can think of to call someone).
Then there’s the religion thing. We’re on opposite ends of that continuum also.
Underneath his serpent-like features and the clownish behavior he displays on Meet The Press, James Carville hides a serious talent for political strategy. He used to be a driving force in Democratic politics back in the 90’s, particularly during the 1992 Clinton campaign.
Mary Matalin reminds me of Cher from “The Sonny & Cher Show” back in the 70s. She sits quietly and watches while Carville rants and flails wildly, and then delivers a zinger his way. Together, they’re the best comedy team in politics these days.
