The only problem that I really have with this person is unnecessary callousness. I have no problem with someone having a vastly different way of looking at the world, and it’s usually not a problem when they express what their beliefs are.
But to enter a conversation where someone hurts from losing a loved one and proclaiming that the pain experienced by that loved one will only worsen and become eternal is cruelty and malice. Having that opinion is not the problem. Expressing it though when someone is in a vulnerable state is hurtful.
That’s sort of true, but not really. This isn’t a Constitution thing. That’s separate from my personal opinion about what you said - and for the record your comments were vile.
^^^ Being vile was never once my intention. Sadly though I have no control over how other people think that what I have to say is coming across. To me that is the #1 downside to online communication.

^^^ I have the right to share my beliefs just like every one else does even if others are going to disagree with what my beliefs are.
Even if it is disgusting in the opinion of other people, it is still a belief that I have the right to share. If the shoe was on the other foot, there would be no difference, only I would have to be the one who has to deal with people sharing what I don’t believe in.

You actually don’t have the right to share it. This is a message board, not a country, and the people who run the board make the rules. They can tell you to stop saying or doing stuff that breaks the rules. You’re right that the government can’t stop you from expressing your opinions, but on this board (and any moderated message board), if you break the rules, you go away.
