If I were to tell you that I think that swearing is offensive, would you continue to swear? I believe that you would. All that I can say is that if you can’'t give up something about yourself, why ask someone else to do it? And that right there is the reason why I never ask anyone to stop with their dirty mouths because that would only turn me into a hypocrite when I am not willing to stop with something about myself as well.
I don’t revel in it. I just don’t walk away from it because walking away will only make people think that they can get away with it.

Good gracious, folks, I hope we don’t have to turn this place into 4chan just to try to offend her so much she pulls up stakes and leaves (think of the kind of crowd such a thing would attract :eek: ).
The best solution would be if everybody would put her on “ignore.” The fly in that ointment is that the option isn’t open to people who aren’t members.
Second best would be administrative separation, but I’m not comfortable with the notion of getting creative with the procedures that would trigger this.
Third is everyone just sending her to Coventry without the benefit of the “ignore” feature, and encouraging others to do so as well. This would appear to carry the same disadvantages as the “best” option, with the added problem of the fact that collectively WE HAVE ZERO SELF-DISCIPLINE. Still, it’s probably the best we can do.
And, yes, I am aware that there’s already a thread trying to persuade everyone of the above.

Why should I walk away when I have a right to defend myself? If a person walks away there is no conversation at all what so ever and there for there is no communication or discussion no matter what the situation is.

Actually, um, may I request that instead of James Otto, could you request that God bless one of my favorite hockey players, Evgeni Malkin? Cuz he got slammed into the boards pretty hard tonight, and it looks like he might have a head injury. Could you like, ask God to make sure he doesn’t have whiplash or a concussion?
He’s one of the best players in the league, and for him to get a concussion would seriously hurt our chances of winning the Stanley Cup this season. Well, that and I don’t want him to be hurt, of course – I’m not a monster! But we just got Sidney Crosby back, so it would seriously suck to lose Malkin.
