Actually I would make security look like a group of hall monitors because if I were to catch someone trying to harm a person that I care about, I would not stand there and do nothing.

^^^ The people that I know are still looking after me there. I am guessing that those who quit are those that I never acknowledged in the first place and that is because I never knew them to begin with. They just started looking after me just to have someone to look after.
