Whoa. Had to go back more than 130 posts to find anything positive that someone had to say about you huh? Around here we call that scraping the bottom of the barrel. Hehehe.
Late to the party, but you claim to be a Christian don’t you? Didn’t your messiah say something about turning the other cheek?
We’ve already beaten, strangled and raped that horse to death in this thread. Holly is a firm believer in turning the other cheek except for when she thinks God wouldn’t want her to do that, like if she was being sexually assaulted.
So basically like any other Christian moral: Do as I say, not as a I do.
^^^ The Lord gave his life in order to save us from a horrible fate, so why should a person stand there and let another person try to bring a horrible fate back on them??? Why let someone get away with trying to make what the Lord did for us go all to waste???
If anyone here doesn’t know how to turn the other cheek, its everyone else here who did not like what it is that I choose to stand for which is what started this whole thing in the first place. They could have left my beliefs alone, but did they? No.
God bless you two and them always!!!
Holly
Ah, sorry, I hadn’t read all 19 pages or whatever it’s up to now. I’ll bow out again on that note!
No the issue was your being an insensitive little rodent. It had nothing to do with your “beliefs” - which I’m firmly convinced you got from can of botulism tainted soup.
To add to what I said in my earlier response to this message, I wasn’t put on this planet in order for the rest of the world to have someone to walk all over.
God bless you always!!!
Holly
Yes, and that works both ways. So when you start causing people pain for no legitimate reason, guess what my tiny rodent friend . . .
Hey, Holly! I actually AGREE with you. I don’t think anyone should let anyone else ever sexually assault them, if they can help it.
But Jesus’ teachings were pretty clear on this matter: if someone is doing harm to you, the proper response is to let them continue and NOT to respond in kind with more harm.
^^^ All that I can say is that if self defense is a sin then I pray that the Lord forgives everyone who is all for it.
God bless you always!!!
Holly
Now if we could only figure out who the fuck it is that you pray to.
So Holly, if suicide is a sin, can we pray that the Lord forgives those who commit it? Or is that a useless prayer?
Can God forgive if you are not truly repentant (which you are obviously not if you fully intend to do the same thing in the same situation)?
Can a mod please kill this thread? I’m not suggesting banning JOSH, but the thread has become as monotonous as a stuck-record. Same shit, different page. It’s not becoming of the board, and I’m suffering from a smilie-overdose.
For the love of FUCKING GOD, KILL IT, KILL IT NOW.
We beseech you Lords of the SDMB.
+1
It is a useless thread that isn’t even slightly meaningful at this point.
Especially since it would be a sin for it to kill itself.
;);)
That’s actually an extremely clever double entendre you just pulled. Was the very slight reference to killing a mocking bird intentional (because this thread is just repeating itself over and over and over like a mocking bird), or were you just commenting on the suicide being a sin thing?
I was going for the suicide joke but if the other thing makes me seem cleverer let’s pretend I meant that.
If God decided to commit suicide, would it be a sin? :):)
To paraphrase Richard Nixon, It’s not a sin if the Big Guy does it.
