No. Another person did and since they named it after me, it was only fair that make at least one appearance in it, but once I showed up, everyone started writing to me. Amen, sister. I’ve never seen another single poster who’s managed to piss off both the atheists and the religious to this degree.

I’m a practicing Roman Catholic and deeply faithful (I don’t like the moribund, misogynistic, corrupt organization itself or agree with a lot of their views but that’s a whole 'nother thread). I’m lucky enough to have had a lot of schooling in both the sciences and religion. Especially lucky to have had religion teachers who encouraged me to read and think about the Bible, to put the events in historical context, to find my own faith rather than just drone out the prayers mindlessly.

I have absolutely zilcho problems with receiving blessings when I think they’re sincere. The mindless bleating of hollow platitudes devoid of insight, compassion, or love (Jesus’ greatest commandment FFS) grates on me.

But is anyone here equating her schtick with actual “faith”? Anyone who thinks she has anything to do with historic Christianity, or the beliefs of Jesus, needs to do some homework.

If I thought anyone was taking her seriously, I’d be apologizing for Real Christians (over and over, and I might have to make everyone Mocha Brownies). Seriously, is anybody thinking “Golly, this must be what a Christian is like. I’m going to become a Zoroastrian monk instead.”? I’d be driving past churches with a grenade launcher if I thought they believed this crap.

I give the recipe, but that wouldn’t be the same as coming here, now would it? The following recipe is for a pan 12X18 inches.. They aren’t really thick, but oh so nummy. The numbers in red are for a smaller 13X9 inch pan.

17.5(9.5)ounces butter(496 g)(269 g)
24.85(13.5) ounces sugar(704 g)(382 g)
1-1/3 cup cocoa powder(3/4 cup)
8(4)eggs
19.25(10.4) ounces flour(544 g)(295 g)
1-1/8(5/8) cups chopped nuts(optional)

Cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Stir in eggs until smooth. Mix together the cocoa powder and flour, then stir into the sugar mix.

Smooth into a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit(188 degrees Celsius) for twenty minutes. Be careful not to over bake. If you think they need it bake for three or four extra minutes, but keep an eye on them. You can ice the brownies when cooled, or do as my mother did, and sift powdered sugar over them.
