He died exactly 47 years to the day after he was shot, apparently of an accidental overdose or suicide.
One person I am not glad to see die.

If I’m reading the OP correctly, Goetz would have in fact been about 17. This may sound unimpressive — but recall that his target was a human entity two years prior to its conception! That the bullet connected at all is quite a feat.
