I just want to comment briefly for those who felt I was rude on the chiropractor thread.

In my humble opinion, the thread itself was started in an angry, combative vein:

Chiropractors are Quacks and Their Patients are Suckers

Two, two…TWO insults in one sentence. Otto had not even thought out his position, simply said “Discuss” in the OP. I understand that Chiropractic treatment is controversial, but it’s obvious that he did not want a calm discussion of fact, but rather a place to voice his opinion on that. We already have two forums for such things. They’re called IMHO and The BBQ Pit.

Secondly, my reaction to him telling me to ask again for surgery was this:

First of all, what do you think i’ve been doing for three years? It’s my DOCTOR, my GP who is advising possible
chiropractic, osteopathic or massage treatment.

Perhaps the first sentence is snippy. Hey, I’m a snippy gal. He asked me who was advising the chiropractor, and I told him. Anything here that requires shit eating or me being called a bitch? I say…no

As much as you may feel chiropractors are quacks, I went to one six years ago for two months and felt IMMEASURABLY better from a waitressing injury. (discombobulated neck from carrying trays)

Pretty much a statement of fact while still acknowledging his opinion. I even threw in a little humor there with the always funny ‘discombobulated’

My doctor currently is about 10% concerned with how I feel and 90% concerned with prescribing new and exciting pills or other ‘non drastic treatment’. Meanwhile, my back still hurts.

I stand by this belief and in no way see it as rude or inflammatory.

I think I’ll take the chiropractor.

This is my conclusion.

And by the by, the post in the chiropractor thread where I invited someone to ‘eat me’ was not to Otto, and that was the rudest thing I said in the thread.

I’m still failing to see where I became a “Bitch”, which, trust me, I’ve been before.

See, I haven’t interacted much with Jarbaby, but I enjoy her posts and read them often enough to know that she writes well, knows her shit* and makes me laugh.
