Here’s a fish shooting its prey out of the air, using a stream of water:
A very funny commerical:
If anyone could explain to me why this happens, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know if you’d consider it jaw-dropping, but it struck me as very, very cool:
Oh, and, just in case you want yet another site to waste some serious time on, check out the BBC Film Network. Lots and lots of short films, many of which are terriffic. Anything that’s got three and a half or more circles is worth watching, I find:
The short films marked “comedy” aren’t really all that funny. At least, I don’t find them funny. But there are many shorts labeled “animation” that are pretty funny and/or amazing.
Some of the films in the “experimental” section are neat, too.
I am the proud owner of an authentic Blaupunkt Bennie and Bunny couple. They have magnets in their paws for ease in coupling. I also have an awesome stereo.
And yes… they do.
Turn up the volume as loud as it will go and then watch this.
This guy named “Jake Shimabukuro” playing “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” on his ukelele. It’s pretty amazing:
From the same youtube user, cornstarch lifeform.
    Are you freaking SERIOUS?? That’s some of the coolest music I’ve heard since, well, since the last time I heard anything by the amazing Afro Celt Sound System! Cooler than cool. And the second part of the video uses beautiful choral music from the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack by Danny Elfman!
But you were right about the visuals. Breathtaking! Especially the aurora scenes near the end.
This is actually why I came into this thread, but I’ve gotten caught up into watching the videos everyone else is suggesting. Thanks!
A powerful garbage disposal disguised as a blender? There are several here to choose from. I especially like the powdered marbles.

That’s an example of a non-Newtonian fluid.
I had no idea there was different music later on; I disliked the first piece so much I never listened that far without turning the sound down (“world-beat” music truly sets my teeth on edge). Now that I listen, or rather fast-forward, you’re right; the Elfman theme works really well in that context.
Thanks, Dragwyr! Very cool seeing other stuff he does.
From Anthony Powell, the same guy who brought us the “Antarctica Time Lapse: A Year on Ice,” comes his Antarctica Supply Ship Offload Time-Lapse. It’s not as cool as the “Year on Ice,” but it’s still pretty good. And, once again, he’s picked the perfect music as the score.
As a big fan of the surreal, I recommend TV In Japan. Great selection of really odd and unusual clips, all from TV. In Japan.
Three different videos involving things that fly:
A lot of birds coming in to take a bath:

Reno hot-air balloon race (timelapse):

The first balloon to leave is shaped like an eagle. Apparently the rest take off after it and when the eagle lands, the others try to get as close as possible and drop a beanbag on it. There are some wonderfully shaped balloons these days!
That’s just amazing. I’ve ordered their DVD now.
