May I take it that this is your official stance on “pussification”? I have some questions for you regarding all of this. As you have claimed in the past to be a skeptic, I am certain that you would not believe all of these things without proper evidence. And, though you have avoided my inquiries in the past, I am sure as a skeptic you will not pass up the oppurtunity to shed further light on flawed assumptions and faulty logic.
Is the above statement opinion, theory, or fact? The elements of the statement appear to be opinion, but they are presented in the context of this discussion as fact. Part of the problem may be that you are using such inexact language. Let me go through the statement piece by piece.
This statement seems to simply be one of opinion. As such, it relies upon a great deal of subjectivity to make any sense. After all, is there some “baseline masculinity” or “baseline femininity” which all human beings naturally posess? The statement seems to be a contrasting of the speaker’s notions of masculinity/femininity and the prevailing cultural norms. As such, it is dependant upon the speaker’s own psychological background, is completely subjective, and is of no descriptive value in a scientific sense.
If you disagree with my assertion above, I think you will have to provide details as to the objectivity of your statement. Does there exist any sort of nonsubjective screening method to determine a subject’s level of pussification? A written test, or psychological inventory, taken without previous knowledge of the subject’s penile state would count. How does this observation translate across different cultures? How much data was analyzed before the “pussified” theory of male behavior was developed?
This, unlike the previous sentance, is not a statement of opinion but an assertation of fact. As a skeptic, I am sure that you would not make such an assertion unless you had a great deal of evidence to support this specific claim.
Is this theory your own, or has it been posited by another researcher? What is the size of the population that was studied in order to demonstrate this statement? I assume, since you are stating this as fact, that such a study has been carried out. Can you describe the experiment which determined that “sexually mutilated” men cannot stand up to women? How were their reactions rated? Was there a control group of intact men? Was the study conducted using double blind methods?
I suppose it is possible that you will claim the above statement has been demonstrated through analysis of population data. As a skeptic, I am sure that you will be rigorous in your analysis, and keen to eliminate possible sources of bias from your study. How large was the sample group used to demonstrate this conclusion? How was the subjects ability to “stand up to the women” measured? Was said measurement done without prior knowledge of the subjects penile state? What methods were used to make sure that the sample group was representative of the population at large?
I trust that you will agree that none of the questions I have posted above are unreasonable, and in fact form the most basic knowledge that a moderately skeptical person would require to form an educated opinion about your theory.
This last statement is a value judgement, and as such I cannot comment on its scientific validity. I can, however, question your conclusion. In what way is it bad for the female and male gender roles to be reversed? What are the societal effects of such a reversal? (This second question, I believe, is scientific in nature and as such I will be expecting emperical evidence should you choose to answer it) Does your opinion on this subject apply only to American culture, or do you feel it is globally valid?
I assume that, although you may not have conducted all of the aforementioned research yourself, you will be familiar enough with the research that was done to intelligently describe the methods and results of said studies. As a fellow skeptic, I know that you will be eager to disseminate knowledge and spark intelligent discussion. Answering my questions may well clear up many misconceptions that exist regarding your work.

Well, it’s my belief that Jack has violated the “Do not be a jerk” rule many times over. However, if you ignore him, I think he will go away. The circ threads have all dropped off the forum pages (at least page 1, which is generally as far as I get unless I’m looking for something specific) and have not been bumped. Yes, Falcon, his comment in the other thread was totally uncalled for. Again, though, he has nothing to add to any discussion other than his obsession, and is certainly not helping the fight against ignorance (or else, Jack, you would have answered Pyrrho12’s well-asked, balanced, reasonable questions instead of fighting over which forum he should have asked them in). For that reason, I have stopped posting to any JDT-related thread, and suggest that everyone who thinks he’s a total jerk do the same.
