Jennifer Anniston

Does anyone in Hollywood deserve all the attention they get? It’s a sick business, and a crazy town. Judging by sthe standards of Hollywood, Anniston is no less deserving than a lot of other who win awards and adorn glossy magazine covers. If you didn’t like ‘The Good Girl’ that’s your prerogative. I thought it was a good little flick. And I simply cannot agree that the character ‘Justine Last’ is the same as ‘Rachel Green’. Not anymore than Meryl Streep’s ‘Linda’ from ‘The Deer Hunter’ and ‘Joanna Kramer’ is the same character.

Obviously - YMdoesV.

In defense of Lisa Kidrow, she was great in The Opposite of Sex.

Yes but she was the only Friend girl not in a Jim Carrey movie

Don’t know if it’s true, but I heard on the radio that Jennifer Aniston was in a John Holmes porno… as a fetus inside her mom. I thought that factoid was interesting.

That she was “RECENTLY” in a porno movie or is this old news?

How do I open the spoiler box on the screen? I’ve clicked all over it and can’t get anything to appear. Duh! I never did it before so I am clueless.

How was Justine remotely like Nina (Object of My Affection) for example?

Definitely not recently.

You need to highlight the spoiler box. Click on the upper left corner and drag to the lower right. You don’t have to do it left to right, but that’s the way I always do it.

You are all overlooking her greatest role, namely, the voice of Annie Hughes (Hogarth’s mother) in The Iron Giant

I have liked her since she was on the short-lived Fox series “The Edge” with Julie Brown and Wayne Knight. The stupid supermodel sketch, where she was in a bikini, was both funny and sexy.

(Hmm… I sound like one of those “I liked the band when it was unknown” guys.)

She has a quality of being nice but not too nice, the appeal of a girl you could take anywhere. Her acting? Where Cox and Kudrow chew up the scenery with over the top antics, Aniston is a lot more subtle- and believable.

Of course she was a classic in Office Space.

I thought Jennifer Aniston was very sexy back in the first couple of seasons of Friends, and when she was on The Edge.

Then she got Hollywood Star Wasting Disease. Now she looks like she went on a diet where all she could eat were those packets of dessicant that come with shoes and stereo equipment. Her face was far more attractive when you couldn’t make out the skull beneath it.

I do think she’s talented, especially as a comic actress. She probably deserves a bigger movie career than she’s had so far. (I imagine that was one of the attactions of Bruce Almighty – box office winners lend their actors more flexibility.)

Jennifer Aniston is always in character. Next time you are watching a repeat, ignore what is going on and just watch her in the background and you will see what I mean.

She has an ability to act/react in a believable and natural way - which I believe is a good definition of acting.

I think The Good Girl was very good, but I also believe she has a lot more talent in her that will come out after Friends ends and she can take some meatier roles other than summer fluff comedies.

I would like to see her in something really edgy and out of her character. It doesn’t need to be a big hit at the box office, but something like ‘12 Monkeys’ which was the movie that got me to re-evaluate her hubby and Bruce Willis. A part where she gets a lot of critical acclaim. I think she might have it in her, and I think that’s why she did ‘The good girl’. She could easily step into Meg Ryan’s shoes and make romcoms for the next ten years or so. She’s got more money than she could possibly spend in a lifetime so she’ll never have to degrade herself as doing ‘special guest star’ in the movie of the week, 20 years from now.
But I get the feeling that she doesn’t want to get stuck, the way Meg Ryan has. Ms Ryan has tried other venues than the romcoms, but not with success.

Now why magazines enjoy putting her on the cover is another story. Remember, 99% of the time, the publisher just bought the publishing right from a photo agency. It’s not like she’s over-exposing herself in the media. I don’t see her giving interviews left and right, and from what I read she’s not one to go to a lot of celebrity get-togethers, but keeps a rather low profile in her private life.

I dunno. I think she’s good looking, seems to be a nice person (not that I’m gonna hang with her, so who cares, right?), and an accomplished if not great actress. That’s good enough for me.

I think Courteney is prettier.

I think Jennifer Anniston has a hot body and an ok face…which makes her appealing to men and not so threatening to women. That’s my theory as to why she’s on every bloody magazine cover. I think she has talent, but she does seem to have an extremely narrow scope. Oh, and I think her face is really unattractive sometimes, but then she strikes me more as the Jolie Laide type.

Word. She’s like the female version of Hugh Grant, what with the brow-furrowing, confused look and breathy stutter.

Why Jennifer Aniston and not any of the other ladies on Friends?

It must be the Rachel Haircut.

And that speaks of her career wisdom.

I never really liked her until I saw The Good Girl. She did a very good job in that movie.

I have to admit I find Aniston both attractive and talented. She’s simply an outstanding actress - good range, great technical actress, great reactor, great comedic timing.

I have NEVER understood why anyone would think Lisa Kudrow was a good actress. She simply isn’t. She has an act, which I’ll admit is cute; she isn’t much of an actress, though.

Jennifer’s comes from a long line of soap actors, who know a lot of people. That doesn’t hurt.
