Probably an unpopular opinion on the Dope, but I agree. I’d rather see someone whose fashion sense is out of date than the increasing preponderance of visible tattoos, facial piercings, pink/purple/blue hair, etc. we’ve been seeing.
I don’t know. That orange tie over the orange shirt with the white collar was . . . something.
I missed the ‘80s Movies FJ but felt good about my guess of Amadeus anyway.
The one contestant, in Thursday’s meet and greet:
“I used to watch Alex Trebek with my parents.”
What were the three of them doing together?

What is…ménage à trois?
I guessed “Ordinary People” and felt pretty good about that.
mmm
He is from an area just outside Knoxville, Tennessee (home of the Tennessee Volunteers), and I’m pretty sure his orange and white ensemble was a display of Vol fandom. You see an awful lot of that in Vol land.
East Tennessee - where you can hunt deer on Friday, go the the game on Saturday, and pick up trash by the side of the road on Sunday, and never change your clothes!
Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Fashion History) for Thursday, April 6, 2023:
These decorative items get their name from their origin in the port city of Strasbourg, on the border of France & Germany
Did any of y’all get it right? I sure as hell didn’t, and I lost all my imaginary money.
I didn’t guess the right answer.
I didn’t even know where to begin with that FJ. No clue at all. Also, there was a recent clue about Ambien that was a little too clever.
This was really a geography question. The main thing you had to know was “what defines the border of France and Germany?” I didn’t know, but if I had, I may have gotten it.
Yes, “good morning” never occurred to me either.
If I’da known that, I wouldn’t have bet a cent!
Agree on both. Good morning my ass
I had no idea, but “spats” popped into my head. Then Mrs. Cretin, the geography wiz, says “Let’s see, that’s on the Rhine-” and I instantly got “Rhinestones!” United We Conquer FJ.
I got Ambien fine, but Rhinestones…no.
I thought epaulets. Sounds French.
Thought sequins first, then remembered The Rhine in the nick of time and then it was obvious.
Likewise.
I always assumed “reticulated” had something to do with how they were able to move.
I thought the same thing about reticulated. Seems like it should apply to a joint or a spine.
Why did we think that?
mmm
