Jeopardy Online Test Discussion

… Okay. I’ll be over here on the couch watching the smart people play this year…

I was scheduled to take the test but I had to work last night so I missed it. Oh well. Maybe next year.

Same here. The sad part is I even cheated on that one – I have a huge map of the U.S. on the wall right next to me, and didn’t even see Lake Ontario. Ah well…serves me right, I suppose.

If I’m remembering everything correctly, I believe I got 42/50. See ya next year.

I take it tonight.

The scuttlebutt over on the Jeopardy board is that 35/50 is a passing score. I feel good with 41, although even if you pass they still only choose some of those people at random.

I talked to my mother on the phone last night, and apparently my brother took the online test last year and went to the in-person tryouts in Portland. I’ll try to find out if he knows (or can guess) what his score was.

Good luck, Missy.

If I do get invited to try out again, I’d have to thank the Rocky Horror Picture Show - otherwise I might not know what the Sword of Damocles is. Maybe I’d have eventually encountered the story someplace else but that’s where I first heard of it. Pretty lame song, though.

Ding ding ding…I spent the next four or five questions with the song running through my head.

I’m signed up for tonight…

Do they use different questions on different days? I’m thinking I’m not going to do as well as I hoped. :frowning:

  1.

Seeing as they posted the questions and answers from last night, one would like to hope so, otherwise that’s really unfair to the people who took it yesterday. :stuck_out_tongue:

I got that one, but for some reason I remember it from a 3 Stooges short…that makes me feel smart

I messed up big, probably like 25. Looking over the answers, the most I could have gotten was like 38.

I’m taking the Central & Mountain test tonight.

Please tell me they have different clues for different time zones, because otherwise I already know all the answers (thanks to the link in the OP) and I’m guaranteed to pass.

Told 'ya I wouldn’t do well…

March 25th, and my name is Beth. I will also be recognizable by the rabbit in the headlights expression during my Daily Double.

I got the night off from work because of the weather, so I have to debate whether to take it tonight at (missing a bit of Lost…) or wait until tomorrow, when I’d have to wait until 11 at night to do it.

I get to take tonight’s test!

That’s because it’s the smallest.

I just finished tonight’s test and…eh. I don’t think I got 35. There were a lot I KNOW I got right, a few I am iffy about, but several I know I got wrong or skipped.

I know nothing about literature and poetry…and I had at least two poetry questions, and four or five literary questions!

That sucked monkey balls

Me no good…
