Jeopardy! Season 42. It is what it is

Click on the little magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen. In the search box, enter Jeopardy! (Even entering just J, Je or Jeo should result in a successful search.)

Go to “Search” and type in “Jeopardy.”

Jeopardy YouTube edition. Rebecca Black gets another 20 minutes of “fame”.

Brian

I’m not saying Brennan Lee Mulligan isn’t a celebrity but it’s almost unfair to put him against the other two. He actually won $50,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire over a decade ago which allowed him to move out to LA and eventually get involved with Dropout (formerly College Humor). He’s legit smart.

I read that (quickly) as “move out of LA”, and I’m like, it’s not that bad!

HULU home screen > left margin > search > Jeopardy > top of the results should be “Jeopardy go to series page” > “Watch Next Episode” OR at bottom of screen “Episodes” and Bob’s yer Uncle.

Not today! He went into final jeopardy with about $55,000, and second place had about $5,000.

To his credit, he made a final jeopardy bid that would have given him an even $100,000. But he got it wrong (even though I thought it was easy - it was a clue about today’s date - April 1st). So he had to settle for a win with a little more than $10,000.

Looked really like that today.

Can’t he just lose already.

I wonder if they are told ahead of time when the game will be airing. (Ken mentioned it afterwards.) It’s today’s date for us, not them.

Damn. I predicted Brennanwould win in a runaway from the getgo, because the rules are clearly laid out, and Sam Reich wasn’t hosting. Then I saw the categories and I was less confident in my prediction.

And I think Rebecca Black should have been dinged for not being specific enough on the Simone Giertz question.

Oh my! That was a bloodbath.

The games are boring to watch with Jamie having no competition after two minutes. I’lm just gonna fast forward to Final Jeopardy until his reign is over.

I’m finding that too. Plus, Jamie is just not very interesting. He doesn’t have the “take no prisoners” attitude of Matt Amodeo, the calm demeanour of Amy Schneider, or the sheer delight of Mattea Roach. Even in the contestant interview segments, he’s boring.

I just check a certain website early in the afternoon to see if he’s lost yet. Nothing at all against the guy, but the “games” aren’t at all fun to watch.

We mostly watch so we can try and answer the questions. I force myself to pretend they are all answering.

We skip his meet and greet, too.I just don;t care.

To be fair, he isn’t even my the top 5 most hated players. But I still can’t stand him, just in a different way than What’s…Ammodio.

Heheh, same here. I don’t care who wins, it won’t be me.

I think he has a better buzzer than the other contestants.

He’s flirted with $100,000 the last two days. If he had gotten a Daily Double clue right he’d have been over $70,000 going in to final.

I don’t really care who wins, I watch to try and get the answers. But he sure is dry and boring. It’s like the other contestants are up against an encyclopedia.
(I thought final tonight was pretty easy.)

I’m not bothered by the ‘dry and boring’ factor, as my preference is NEVER for the Big Personality types. But the gameplay is definitely lacking. The show is currently “Watch Jamie Clear The Board” and that is never going to be a hit.

I’m getting sick of Jamie. They should tweak the rules and require that everyone has to bet at least half of their total in Final Jeopardy. That might eliminate some of the runaway games where the winner is a foregone conclusion.

The other change I would make is eliminate the applause when someone discovers a Daily Double. It’s more or less randomly placed, why should a lucky guess be worthy of applause.
