Jeremiah - TV Series

(No spoilers, please)

Has anyone seen this? I’m on Episode 2 of Season 1. So far, it’s looking pretty good. In episode one, we see (as non main characters, so far) some of the BSG cast (Duala and Tricia Helfer), and an interesting plot lines seem to be emerging.

Im pretty unhappy with the fact that this series will end on a cliffier hanger, most likely…

I liked it, but then I tend to like post apocalyptic type stories in general. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I’ve thought about watching this before. Let us know what you think.

Wikipedia says that it more or less wrapped up storylines at the end. Is this right?

So far it’s pretty sweet. I’m glad to hear they wrapped the story up.

Yes, it is correct. They could have continued the series, but the story arc through the existing episodes concludes.

Very cool; I’ve just added it to the top of my Netflix queue.

My brother-in-law gave us the first season on DVD, and we really enjoyed it- so much so that we bought the rest of the series.

i was just starting to watch this when it disappeared from the Netflix instant que.

It’s still in my netflix instant queue.

I just watched episode 3…
MAJOR SPLOIER. RUINS ENTIRE EP. where the attractive woman sleeping with the utter psychopath blows some shit up

Awesome.

WHAT?!?!

Is that Emile De Ravin!?!? In a bit part (so far, still watching)?! I hope she shows up again, Ive thought she was a good actress since that cheesy show Roswell.

A couple years ago, a local station aired this in syndicated reruns for a while. I kinda enjoyed it, but then they seemed to stop after season one, and I never got around to tracking down the rest. By this point I’d need to rewatch from the beginning, I’m afraid.

We used to get this on broadcast TV, I watched it all. Pretty good, I was especially impressed by the leads. Damn, Theo got buff!

This was the first place I saw Joanne Kelly, who later went on to be in Warehouse 13. She comes in at the end of the first season, I believe.

So far, I am not at all disappointed with this show, Mister Owl is entirely right.

I would definitely recommend checking this out for anyone who has the ability to Stream netflix. It’s good for the first three episodes, then it seems to get into the swing of things.

The characters actually act pretty believable, which is saying something considering they’re supposed to be adults who raised themselves pretty much.

Bumping almost year old thread to avoid a new one…

I’m watching episode 4 right now. So far every episode seems to be:

Enter new area
Get in trouble
Figure out a way to save everyone

Does it follow this formula for the entire run? I’m trying to decide if I want to drop it.

The overall story arc takes a greater importance further on into the season. It’s been a while since I’ve watched it, but I didn’t find the format to be too bothersome – towards the later half of the season I plowed through episode after episode because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next.

Short answer? No.

Longer answer? It does for awhile to establish the bleakness of the world. Later, a big story develops and things get going more.

It totally stops being “go somewhere and something bad happens” and becomes “stay where they are and bad stuff is happening everywhere.”

Just checking in to this thread to add the following:

They produced 34 episodes in total. (I had to look that up.) While the producers could probably have continued the story, they seemed to have chosen the right time to end the series. (I don’t know the history of the show, whether they planned it this way or were forced to.)

As the show stands I think the writing, over all story arc and acting in general are very much above par. Further, I think some of the sub-arcs and individual episodes are near excellent.

If you like this sort of story and you watch the entire series, I don’t think you will find it wasted time.

Just wanted to add, I really liked the Mr. Smith story.

I’m on episode 9 or so and it has improved greatly. I watched the remake of Survivors from the BBC right before this and was probably burnt out on the whole “run from one bad situation to another” apocalypse storyline. Now I’m enjoying waiting to see who the next person I recognize will be since I’ve already seen three actors from Battlestar Galactica and one from How I Met Your Mother.
