“Mr. Bojangles” aside, the man was one of the most influential country artists ever, from “Outlaw” country to introducing Jimmy Buffett to the bars of Key West.
Was coming here to post this if nobody else had.
What a shame! I saw him four or five times in concert, and he always put on a great show.
Through him I learned about Guy Clark, Ray Wiley Hubbard, and Gary P Nunn, among others.
