Of course, I have just been informed of my niece’s first birthday party on the same day … in Maryland. My plan for now is to stop in, drop off my promised utensils, and stay for an hour or two before continuing down there, because I’m annoyed that my SIL chose this day to do it.

I scoured the thread to figure out when it was supposed to start before I posted. 
2 is fine for me–it’ll give me time to recover from the previous night’s graduation party for a friend. When it rains, it pours.

I have some personal business that I need to take care of in the afternoon. Is 4-5ish still okay? What food do you still need? I can bring a nice cake.
I am planning to keep the BBQ going all afternoon and night. Basically as long as people want to hang out. So 4-5ish and cake sounds good. I emailed you the directions.

I’m just coming in to say how left out I feel! Too bad I moved away 7 years ago or I’d come too. Have fun guys.
Alas, I will not be able to join you fine folks. Family obligations have me otherwise occupied. I really looked forward to meeting some real-life Dopers, and this would have been my first Dopefest, but I guess 'twas not to be. Oh well, I will definitely try to attend the next get-together in the New Jersey area, or even NYC- or Philly-area. Have fun folks.
